fun of course! and the craving for connectingness, sharing - same stuff i crave offline, though there are a few things like smell, feel and tangible physical stuffness that's simply wonderful. as a knowledge worker though, it makes things way more fun and enlightening. Off to go play/work.

Anything that encourages people to take an ACTIVE role as parents is a good thing in my book. As a newish parent (3 1/2 year old daughter) I am still flummoxed at the lack of engagement of many other parents. Why have 'em if you're going to ignore them or treat them like luggage or feel they're a burden?
