Let me share a few ways you can do this." - Jeroen De Miranda via Bookmarklet

"However, that's not to say they don't have their concerns. They are wary of one thing in particular: 79% are concerned about the risks of unsanctioned use of these tools by employees. Like we mentioned before, "tech populism" occurs when employees go behind I.T.'s back to provision their own tools from the ones freely available on the web. This opens up a whole new way to jeopardize sensitive company data." - Jeroen De Miranda via Bookmarklet
"Well, in this case, customers are saying, "no thanks". It no longer feels inevitable and XP looks just fine as a stop-gap. Cloud computing feels more inevitable. The browser is all that matters, maybe Silverlight, Gears and other ways to tie the PC to the cloud. So Firefox goes from strength to strength, Apple is on a roll and Google Apps get taken seriously." - Jeroen De Miranda via Bookmarklet
"Not surprisingly, some partners have been leery of turning their established customer relationships over to Microsoft. Many have built lucrative businesses around hosting Exchange, SQL Server and other Microsoft software and didn’t expect they, as Microsoft “partners,” would have to compete with Microsoft head-to-head in providing hosted services to small- to mid-size businesses (SMBs)." - Jeroen De Miranda via Bookmarklet
"For Microsoft resellers that had been fearing Microsoft would drop the bottom out of the hosted-services business with its Microsoft Online services offerings, their nightmares were realized on July 8. Microsoft is planning to sell Microsoft-hosted Exchange and SharePoint for $3 per user per month." - Jeroen De Miranda via Bookmarklet

I have now two different accounts on twetter: one is for the italians and the other one is for the english tweets. Managing both of them is easy with twitterfox, since it allows you multiple accounts management. Anyway I am using tweetter less each day, and I find much more interesting conversations here on FF. But I don't have an interface for managing multiple accounts on FF and I mainly post english comments. - Marcello Del Bono
I like the two account approach. I tend to unsubscribe from people I can't understand, unfortunately. - Hao Chen
thanks Marcello, your "one account for language" approach is really interesting - Marco Castellani
Yes, that's way the two accounts. But I would need an easy FF interface allowing multiple accounts - Marcello Del Bono
Interesting point. My native tongue is Swedish. With such a 'small' language I've never thought about it before and never met any fellow Swede in Twitter either. The two-accounts on TwitterFox looks like a good idea though. - Rebkin
I just created another Twitter/Tumblr/Friendfeed/Blog in Spanish and keep the two separate... Twhirl allows me to monitor both painlessly - Jorge Escobar
Ok, you can guess now... I am also posting on two different blogs: one is for the italian language http://blog.delbono.eu and the other one is for the english edition http://marcello.delbono.eu . That's still an experiment, since it's quite a time consuming approach... - Marcello Del Bono
Marcello you're right, the point is exactly that managing a different "presence" for each language turns out quite time consuming.. - Marco Castellani
Marco, unfortunatley that's absolutely true, I am still experimenting with finding a good balance point. - Marcello Del Bono
Me too (I'm spanish)!! And I decided to create two twitter accounts, one to talk with 'real life friends' from Spain, and another to chat all over the world with people in English... - Alex Barredo
most of my online contributions are in English; only sometimes I do make some Dutch tweets - Jeroen De Miranda
Well, I played for some times with the idea of "different platform - different language"; for example, english for jaiku and italian for twitter. But I'm not so convinced of this approach, at the time writing.. - Marco Castellani
Yeah It happened to me, that's why I'm only using tweeter in english, and like Marco C. said and I agree "That managing a different "presence" for each language turns out quite time consuming" - George The Writer
@Marco, Jaiku was even STARTED by a Swede and a Finn.. - Rebkin
I use both English and my native language (French), depending on the nature of the message I post. If it's something general, like "I'm at home, eating a doughnut", I will usually post it in English. If I answer to a French speaking user, I will usually post in French. I don't really mind mixing both languages on the same account, since it's worked pretty well so far. - Brome

A post could contain information about what a room is about or other pertinent information that an administrator wants at the top of the stream. - Mark Trapp
Mark, it turns out that there are at least two other discussions of this (not counting the discussion in the lastfmfeeds room itself), one of which I haven't even read yet. I'll hunt 'em up and link 'em together. - Ontario Emperor
