My Hiatus From Twitter - Why You Should Join Me - http://digg.com/tech_ne...
"vmarinelli I wrote this mostly for those that were existing readers of my blog and followers of mine on Twitter. I had people asking why I was doing it. I didn't expect it to make headline on Techmeme, so wasn't writing it for an external audience. Had I been prepared for that I would have been much more 3rd person, and I would have written it entirely different." - Jesse Stay
Well, you have to write for your audience, and knowing who that audience is is key. Unfortunately I'm going to have to start writing assuming Techmeme is listening from now on though - you can't get as personal that way though. - Jesse Stay from twhirl
took the words right out of my mouth! dugg :) - Mona Nomura
Jesse I liked your post and dugg your story! :-) - Susan Beebe

Nice Post Jesse .. Dugg - Hisham هشام
I don't get it, why can't you talk in the first person if you're featured on Techmeme. This was an editorial of sorts and most editorials are written in first person even if they're written for the New York Times. Could also be considered a review of Twitter. Reviews are also often written in first person. - Luke Stay
Heh - even my brother is criticizing me for that post. ;) You have a good point. I've got a post coming up soon where I think I'm going to tackle the whole "Techmeme" issue. You have a great point. - Jesse Stay from twhirl
Just be yourself Jesse. Letting personality through is a lot of what I find more interesting about FriendFeed than just blogs. - Mitchell Tsai
Thanks Mitchell - that's one thing I hope to never depart from. - Jesse Stay from twhirl
