jauderho posted a photo: This spectacular display hangs over the lobby to the Bellagio. Having seen this once years ago, I was reminded of it when watching Top Chef in Las Vegas. Since we were in Vegas over Christmas, I decided to visit the Bellagio for a quick picture. Filed as: 20091227_203417_0654

jauderho posted a photo: Spoiler: This appears in a scene in Iron Man 2. (From Wikipedia) Randy's Donuts is a landmark building in Inglewood, California, near Los Angeles International Airport, in a style that dates to a period in the early 20th Century that saw a proliferation of programmatic architecture throughout Southern California. This style had its heyday from the mid 1920s to the mid 1930s. By the 1950s however, the trend of designing structures in the shape of the product sold there had changed to focus on signs rather than architecture itself. In the case of Randy's, the product in question is represented by a 32.5-foot (9.9 m) doughnut on the roof of an otherwise ordinary drive-in that is a dedicated doughnut bakery. The building was designed by Henry J. Goodwin. The 24-hour drive-in is located at 805 West Manchester Boulevard where it intersects with La Cienega Boulevard, and is near the Manchester Boulevard off-ramp of the San Diego Freeway (I-405). Lance Rudge posted a photo: I had the awesome opportunity to make a very early morning hike/bushwhack visit to Ruckel Creek Saturday with Christina. This place was amazing and the greens are really beautiful! We were up well before the sun hit the sky and done by the time it did, making our way back to the parking lot, finished for the day, as the Eagle Creek parking lot started to fill up. Please view large, as the image looks a little weird compressed to the smaller size. I hope everyone had a fantastic week and I look forward to seeing all the new images.

jauderho posted a photo: With spicy slaw and pickled daikon. Dinner at Namu last night. This turned out be nothing more than sweet and sour chicken with gravy on the side. Unfortunately, KFC would have been preferable, tastier and not cost an eye-popping $32 (serves 2). If you want to try good Korean fried chicken, try Bonchon in LA. It is amazing. Taken with a borrowed Canon T1i and processed on an uncalibrated laptop using Adobe Lightroom 3 Beta 2. The noise reduction algorithm is noticeably better than Lightroom 2. moe chen posted a photo: See super large here moechen.smugmug.com/Other/Portland-Head-Light/10261723_Zc... Not too crazy about this one but at least I got out there! It's funny, the sky looks almost identical to the only other time I have gone here. If I put both shots side by side I would have definitely guessed they were taken the same day.

J.^2 Holiday Blues posted a photo: Thanks to Bar who asked for a stop at which time the sky was just gloomy and dull, and then thanks to HH for pulling over. Lastly, thanks to SP for the prop! No thanks to lazy me, who didn't drag the tripod out! See HH's version here (with proper use of a tripod).

Seattle Miles posted a photo: Did a little road trip with some friends this weekend Vinny, Mehrdad and Aaron First stop was venturing down to Rowena (Oregon) for sunrise with a large group of Pacific NW Flickr photogs. It was such a pleasure to finally meet so many of you talented folks in person :) Second leg of the journey was to the Palouse hills in eastern WA. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Palouse_Falls We drove to Palouse Falls with high hopes for a magical sunset. As you can see, we were very blessed indeed :) I decided to focus more on the sky than the river in my comp this time around. I should also have a Palouse hills shot to post one of these days, but don't hold your breath :) Thanks so much for your visit. Have a great week :)

oskarbakke posted a photo: A shot from last weekend's GTboard event. Epic line-up, weather and a lot of fun. Couldn't be better! =) The owner of the Koneigsegg gave me a few minutes to shoot his beast.. Isn't it beautiful in profile? This is the same CCR as I shot last summer but the car is now foiled in mate black.. Looks like a batmobile! This was the first time I tried to get a high keyish style of the photo. Maybe I should have overexposed it a bit more? I like the style but I still think I need to practise more. =) Btw.. Big news! My website is now done.. Check it out! www.oskarbakke.com
