The Google Phone May Be Data Only, VoIP Driven Device - http://www.techcrunch.com/2009...
Lets see, Google has - plenty of bandwidth, worldwide - deals with pretty much all major networks for CDNs, caching, etc to power Youtube et al. - a virtual operator product (google voice) - Google talk and Gizmo for VOIP - a very cool Phone software platform Their own device is the only missing piece here for them to go head on with major operators. I think they can pull it off. - Jilles Van Gurp

Google Search by voice travels the world, finds Nokia, learns Chinese - http://googlemobile.blogspot.com/2009...
Brilliant! But beyond 'pizza' it doesn't recognize much. Could be my accent of course. But shouldn't be worse than Engrish, Swinglish, Finglish, Scottish, or other popular variations of the beautiful English langugage. Not even close on the 'proper' pronounciation of my name, for example. But then, how much training material would they get on that :-(. - Jilles Van Gurp
