IN ITS latest forecast for the world's biggest economies released on Thursday September 3rd, the OECD notes the "mostly favourable" economic news over the past few months. The think-tank reckons the German economy will grow more strongly than its peers in the third quarter. In the fourth quarter, America will leap ahead, and is expected to grow at an annualised rate of 2.4%. But the outlook looks less rosy for Japan, Italy and Britain, which are all forecast to endure further declines in GDP before the year is out. Canada's prospects ought to be brighter, because of its relatively small financial sector and its large commodity-based export industries. Despite these blessings, the OECD thinks Canada's economy will shrink at an annualised rate of 2% in the third quarter.

Oh, yeah, I heard some discussion about this. I think Facebook removed it because now that there's no distinction between "your" wall/feed on Facebook and all the stuff your friends contribute to that, there were privacy concerns.

Samo, yep. Laura yes it was removed a long time ago and for a long time but it is supposed to be back (last week) but perhaps not rolled out for all users. There is supposed to be a a status update feed link on your 'Friends' page I think.

Pour l'iPhone, il y a une version optimisée du site. Pour le desktop, difficile de reprendre sous forme d'application toutes les fonctions et la finesse du site. Il y a bien quelques essais, mais rien de concluant.

Ceux de FF sont insatisfaisants sur iphone et sans aucun intéret sur navigateur (celui de FF est excellent, manque juste de customisation encore ;). ça répond à l'aspect publication. Twitter avait besoin de clients parce que les fonctionnalités du site était largement insuffisantes. Friendfeed a plus de fonctionnalités dans sa version web que bien des clients Twitter (groupes, vrai temps-réel, suggestion d'amis, "meilleur de la journée", commentaires = vraies discussions, post par e-mail ou im ou bookmarklet...)

Salut ! Friendfeed c'est un Twitter dans lequel on peut discuter et dans lequel il est beaucoup plus facile de filtrer le "bruit". Tout en mieux quoi ! J'espère que tu t'y plairas.

Son article a le mérite de soulever un sacré lièvre : en effet, on perd de plus en plus la "spécificité" du blog, qu'on peut customiser à l'envi et décider des conversations, tandis que Friendfeed ressemble davantage à un bar rempli de joyeux drilles, dont on doit suivre la conversation si on veut être "dedans"...

Seulement, pour reprendre son expression, "le serpent se mord la queue" si on pense pouvoir produire du contenu (et le diffuser, voire le diffuser en masse) uniquement sur son petit espace personnel. Friendfeed, Facebook et d'autres espaces ouvrent des conversations quand l'utilisateur ne va pas forcément aller chercher directement à la source première (le blog). J'en fais l'expérience...

J'ai lu son article et je n'ai vraiment pas compris quel était le reproche qu'il faisait à friendfeed et consorts. En quoi est-ce que on est enfermé? Il n'y a presque aucun contenu dans Friendfeed, il y a surtout des liens vers des sites externes... Est-ce le problème des discussions qui quittent le cadre confiné des commentaires directement sur le blog? C'est l'inverse de l'enfermement pour moi...

Justement Nicolas, tant que je te tiens, quand tu fais un choix comme celui que vous avez pu faire avec aaaliens ou Vendredi, tu valorises certes la source et la production de contenu, mais est-ce que n'est pas un frein à sa diffusion et à une discussion plus large? Je crois que Thierry est trop pessimiste. FriendFeed n'a jamais tué les commentaires sur les blogs. En revanche, ca permet d'autres types de conversations que les blogs ne permettent pas

Je ne nie pas l'intérêt de FriendFeed comme intégrateur et diffuseur de liens. C'est très bien, comme Twitter. Mais là ce qu'on écrit, c'est chez FriendFeed, on refait la peinture gratos pour eux. C'est ça le 2.0. Des mecs croient qu'ils s'amusent et ils créent du contenu googlelisable.

"On refait la peinture gratos" ... Oui et non. Les utilisateurs en font ce qu'ils veulent. Regarde twitter. Au début, c'était un peu ce que Friendfeed est pour le moment : une plateforme de microblogging et de délires avec quelques copains. Aujourd'hui, c'est un réseau d'info. Si les utilisateurs décident de ne pas faire de Friendfeed autre chose qu'un réseau d'amis, ça montrera que tes craintes étaient infondées ;)

sur le fait qu'on organise du contenu, pour FF, pour nous (etc) on est d'accord. et c'est vertueux ! ce qui manque c'est le plugin WP qui va coller en bas de post tous les liens relatifs depuis FF (mais on est desssus ;) afin de lier les discussion autour de la source, en facilitant leur démultiplication... interdépendance, patron /-)

Je veux bien croire que l'interface graphique de FF permette éventuellement l'émergence de groupe de potes qui s'y retrouvent pour échanger des blagues potaches.. Mais, bon, ça reste quand même avant tout un point nodal de notre actvité sur le web : tout ce qu'on fait y arrive, et (avec l'aide de feedly), tout ce qu'on lit vient de là aussi.

@maxime : personnellement, l'usage c'est imposé, j'en fais mon AFPsociale. je continue de publier aussi sur twitter, blog, delicious (sur FB, je spam via RSS et API :-) car un média n'en a jamais remplacé un autre. Par contre, FF est le meilleur Reader/Writter pour twitter :-)

FriendFeed, ça enlève un peu la notion de flux. Parce que les commentaires sont tous les uns sous les autres, ça empile la discussion, la rassemble. Et j'ai pas forcément envie de relire tout ça ;)

Je ne suis pas tout à fait d'accord tout d'abord le web ne va de moins en moins se résumer à des sites ou des blogs, l'information est fluide et les commentaires encore plus. Actuellement FF semble une bonne solution, plus tard ce sera wawe de google (et qu'on me dise pas que c'est se vendre chacun pourra faire tourner son propre serveur).
