You're right; it's totally loud. I was listening to the CD and then went to the website, and thought "wow this is totally new and innovative. I'm perplexed, but intrigued." Turns out it was just two different songs playing at the same time.

Thx, WM! Hey, Hijack: sorry i petered out in midstream with the poem commentary. I think I discovered it's much easier to discuss poetry in person.

Oh, you don't have to be good peeps to be followed by me... I'm off to follow you now! (Matt.)

That's how Mr. clifflandis and I got started. He asked me how to print something, even though he already knew how.

several times. usually indigent or crazy people, though.

hmm...I've had one female student do that...kinda of nice, except she's married
- Sir Shuping
yeah, usually its along the lines of "How do I get a sexy manbeast such as yourself to induce bodice ripping?"

Like Joshua, I wouldn't know if they did.

Steven made me laugh out loud. Also, I need pictures of mr. clifflandis, thanks,

I've been asked out over chat reference before. >.> So glad there's a permanent institutional record of my embarrassment.

yup...why I usually have some sort of ring on my left hand when I'm on the ref desk

Must be confusing, there being 2 Mr. Clifflandi. Amazing that you found someone with the same name. Small world.

My favorite public library question of all time: a woman in a wheelchair asked me for help with, um, techniques? Like, ahem, sexual techniques? She was with a male companion, though, so I maintain this as a purely professional experience.

I had one lothario who wanted to take me shopping for my birthday, and dissed the flowers that Mister had sent to the ref desk. Ol' Juan Carlos was a persistent desk groupie.

“If you want to decide whether to subscribe to someone who has subscribed to you, do you a) read their blog, b) check out their bookmarks, c) google them, or d) other” - http://friendfeed.com/e...
First, I have to remember that the person has subscribed to me. Seriously, I am lazy that way. After that, it depends. If it is someone I see in conversations a lot or someone who seems to be friends with my other friends, there's a good chance I'll subscribe. I'm currently trying to decide if I should de-subscribe a couple people who seem to be collectors - that is, they are subscribed to an obscene number of feeds.
- Katy S
I’ll generally look at things they’ve posted on their account and check out who they’re subscribed to. If it all seems copasetic, I’ll subscribe. Not that people who I’m not subscribed to subscribe to me very often… <sheepishly>I’m new here</sheepishly>

i look for the library connection...and to be honest...dont friend that many people i come into contact with in real life....that way i 'feel' a little more anonymous.

@Grizzled, I'm loving the library community here on FF! It's interesting to me that Friendfeed describes itself as "enabling you to keep up-to-date on the web pages, photos, videos and music that your friends and family are sharing," but I find it's primary purpose for me is to keep up on tech/library/social media news, tips, services, and in-depth information. It's a great info discovery tool for me especially since I'm not using Google Reader (hangs head in shame), because I don't have time to read.
- Laura Norvig
I check to see if the work in Libraryland. If they do, I'll generally subscribe back. Otherwise, I'll wait to see if they comment on things I post. If I like their comments, I'll subscribe to them.
- josh neff, geek at large
I look to see if they have said anything recently that I needed to know. If they have, I'll subscribe.
- Jill Hurst-Wahl
I check blog/other feeds for library content mostly, or other interesting content. Depends on my mood, sometimes I'm more inclusive than others. (@jjhill - you've given me my word of the day: copasetic. Fascinating article on its etymology in Wikipedia.)
- Deborah Fitchett
I glance at their subscriptions. If I see library names I usually go ahead and subscribe. I may go into their feeds or comments for more info. If a person is a member of Librariology it's automatic ;)

one time I remember my mom singing, "hold the pickles, hold the lettuce, everything is copasetic."
