Checking in....how is everyone doing?
Hmm, learned a lot from my effort but seems like I selected a niche with some competition. Still can't get into top 10. But I am continuing because I think it can be good long term.

nope....i mean i hit 200 uniques...but not 200 per day..i get about 30 per day, and about 70 when i make a new post. the good thing is i am starting to get more search engine traffic than referral traffic

Yes, but Ed said that we should make a one sale per 200 to the affiliate offer page at least and if not we must assess the situation. Also that if 200 visit the site at least over 10% must click on the sales link. Maybe you should try some soft selling as ed says in day 18 or 25. Good Luck.

i think we may need some kind of calendar ap to help with scheduling, especially because of the different timezones. playing with google calendar now but not sure if you can set blocks of free/busy time..

Hi all, Jason (Zaphod) here. Let me know the next time we do a team meeting. BTW, I'm using Wordpress Direct and it's quite good. Not sure if it's worth the money if you know how to use plain old Wordpress, but we'll see. And my wife and I joined 30DC+ so if anyone has any questions about it let me know.

Are you all planning on, or currently using Wordpress direct?
I am...only cuz i never used or installed wordpress before. not sure if im going to keep using it or not but it may be better to just learn how to do it myself.

Actually, I think it is decent. But one of the features i was interested in was the autocontent thing, which im learning isnt really the way to go. Im not sure how involved it is to actually do an installation with all the plugins etc. and i'm not sure what else WPD does that is different from just standard WP. That being said, i just dont feel that it is worth paying such a high MONTHLY for something that seems to just makes installation easier.

The WPD control panel is ok, but one thing I really hate is their create post. If you change to html mode and try to edit some of the code and save it, it will not save any code that it does not like. For example, nofollow.

I am definitely using WPD, and I like it a lot. There are a lot of things that a WPD blog has that a regular Wordpress blog doesn't, or at least, that has to be done manually in Wordpress. Since I barely know HTML, let alone CSS or PHP, this is definitely the best route for me. Additionally, some of the additional tools that come along with the paid version make it more than worth it. I look forward to hearing Chad's comments, though, once the room is made private! ;-)

cyn.in Ok. after an insanely arduous struggle, I have the cyn.in set up and configured. Will need to add user accounts though. Not sure if DNS hasn't propogated yet, or if its not working at all. I can access it from my lan. I forwarded ports, etc. Will have to have someone test it to see

We are standardizing on Skype as out immediate communication tool. It allows for voice and text conference rooms. Its stable, and reliable. Twitter for non-immediate messages, and email for larger messages. Any suggestions or recommendations?
Ya those both sound good. If that doesn't work in terms of a group chat we could do an IRC channel. That way whoever can get on will be able to see who is around. But I'm up for whatever

That sounds fine, except I think we should use this Friendfeed room for non-immediate messages, and Twitter DM for non-immediate private messages. Not sure if you can send messages to skype users who arent online. FF will be better in keeping a history of what is going on, and i dont feel twitter is optimal for keeping communication organized. thoughts?

Yeah, I could probably set up an IRC channel. Not sure how many know what that is though. Yes, you can send text and voice messages to offline people. I agree about ff and twitter Joe.

Plan: I'm planning sometime Friday night or Saturday morning to make this room private. From that point on, we are a team. And we will progress from there forward as a team. .I will have the collaboration software up and working in a few hours. And will let you folks know how to connect to it
How are we doing in terms of prospects for other members? Are they just not replying to messages? I will watch the forums for others interested in joining.

I'm doin ok. Doing rehab from surgery so that's rough. I think I'm going to try the DC + depending on price. I was an Edge member for a few months but I couldn't keep it up with out money comin in. I'm hoping this run through I'll get a good base of income.

Yes and no. I think it would have been worth it if 1 I understood the concepts a little better, and some of their cool features where up and running. They were doing some maintenance on it and I just didn't have the cash to wait for it to work. Plus since I plan to reactive my WPD account I need all the funds I can get :)
