looks really good. I plan to use for at least a few months to archive a bunch of older stuff. Support got back to me in less than 12 hours (I emailed them at about midnight pacifc time last night) with very direct and helpful information. I'm stoked!

I was already an Evernote and Pixily user... this is great!

I'm very tempted to try out Pixily. For those of you who are using it, what kind of stuff would you NOT send? I have a bunch of things I need to scan for tax purposes but I just don't really want to spend the time to do it... but wary of sending that off to a service either.

is there a UK based service that does the same as Pixily?

wow, how insightful...it's as if you came up with that all by yourself

insights are like that but what seems "obvious" can often hide a deeper truth.

Dave, I think of Twitter is like Metafilter but with an even bigger filter on the front (no follow, no visible)

Can't tell the sarcasm from the seriousness above, but obviously the major hurdle to 'personal publishing' is feeling confident and comfortable with placing one's thoughts into the public domain. This is daunting to many at the entry level. Twitter eases one into this amongst a friendly group of peers, allowing one to gain experience and grow the thick skin required for blogging or other more public/exposed media...

twitter is so much more than blogging

@Thomas it's only 'more' because it's 'less' ;)
