I like this post! Prof Heslop-Harrison taught us about hormone action in plants and it is interesting to see how much research is still going on in this field. It does mention that reducing the root auxin level is not enough on its own to stimulate lateral root growth. What else would be necessary? Any ideas? - Jonathan Rhodes
