It's called the iPod Touch :-) Well, maybe not exactly, but a bigger Touch would totally do it for me. - Brian Daniel Eisenberg
Also just read that HP released a touch screen PC (desktop) called the TouchSmart PC with wireless keyboard & mouse. Runs for $1600 I think. - Brian Daniel Eisenberg
If only Intel would come out with a tiny, low power chip for these. Call it "Atom" or something. And then maybe work with companies that have experience building and marketing devices like these. Call them Mobile Internet Devices or something. And then get an open source project for tools to make building software for these devices easier and better - call it http://moblin.org if you want. If only these magical things existed - I can't believe no one thought of this idea before! Thanks, Mike! ;-) - Josh Bancroft
Mike, I hope you can pull this off. Seriously. - Warner Crocker
Meh. I was just trying to navigate flickr on a friend's iPhone G3 at lunch. It's not a dead simple web tablet. :-P - Richard Klein

As sexy & smart as iPhone may be, i find it really hard to type on it's touch keyboard, would love to see the Web Tablet come true. I'm willing to pay $300 :-) - Majento (Early Adopter :)
It's the right time for a thing like that. We are very web-centric today and are not turning back. Almost everything that a common man would use the computer for can be done on the web. And the proposed price is at the sweet spot. Go for it TechCrunch. - Vinay | विनय
At $200 you will sell a billion of these things. That is the perfect price for a great idea. - Gary Schmidt

Shel Israel is no longer part of http://www.fastcompany.tv. That is correct. The changes we made to http://www.fastcompany.tv/work... were made due to community feedback, in particular due to Dennis Howlett and Allen Stern's criticism of that show. We made several changes in reaction to their feedback. As to the guy who says "fastcompany.tv sucks" that's great, but why not be constructive? I'm very interested in constructive feedback and am working to make our shows the best available. Today we have several exclusives, including lots of interviews with members of congress. If that's "sucking" well, then, I want more "sucking." This is content no other tech video blogger is bringing to you. - loren feldman
@Peter: Considering the same old same old type shit you have in your friendfeed stream, I find it funny you'd think anyone was polluting YOUR lifestream. - Vincent Ferrari
Here's a bit of constructive criticism. Ditch the cue cards and just talk to the person without making the whole thing look and sound like a bad version of Charlie Rose. Those videos aren't "naked conversations." They're softball questions and fanboy-ism. A PR person's dream but a waste of time for the viewer. - Rob Safuto
It definitely seems to bring out the worst sort of marketing types. Can't wait for this bubble to pop ;) - Devindra Hardawar
Really, Leo? I would say that "social media" is a term to describe the media that is not a "traditional media" (TV, Radio, and Newspapers) source - I now follow "news" through social sharing of news (and other interesting items). I'm on FriendFeed or Twitter getting my news now - never a traditional media source. - Vince DeGeorge

I guess it depends on your definition of idiot, and why you think everyone except these six are indeed idiots. - Ian May
Leo, I use Social Media with irony. Also the 6 maybe it's 20. People whom I've found to be interesting in some way. Smart, entertaining whatever. BTW Leo you never struck me as the cursing type. - loren feldman
who is this Feldman dude? I'm subscribing because of this comment - Nathan Rein
Ah, but the big question is...is this what you find in Social Media, or is this what you bring with you? I've found lots of nice people....and a few jerks, but I spend my time with the nice ones. - Douglas E. Welch via twhirl
I would suggest that one finds a typical cross-section of the world at large using Social Media - Ian May
That is a miracle as I did not think there were not complete idiots. but that is usually how it goes the ones that call themselves something via title are never the ones that have a clue. - Fred Grott
I felt exactly the same way about high school. Hum...... - leigh himel
My life experience leads me to estimate 86% of all people are stupid; as defined as people who have a brain but don't use it. - Robert Hafer
@leigh That was hilarious... and true for me as well. - Donna Mugavero
I hate to be cynical, but their ratio of two developers to six bloggers/copywriters/PR peeps sounds about right. When your product is a commodity, marketing makes all the difference. - Jake

i just don't understand it; why do you care? it seems like folks are having a great time. why mess with it? - Phil Wolff via Alert Thingy
I still see some kind of a deal coming for Yahoo, maybe from one of the private equity groups. They have too much market share of the search biz to crash-and-burn like the IAC properties. - Useless.com
So, now that Yahoo! allows interoperability with MSN, GTalk with AIM, Gtalk with Yahoo! messager. We can finally all talk to each other? :) - Aaron Myers

Come on, is this the nightly news where you're scaring folks about the unseen danger lurking under their sink? Report the problem (and there is one) and try to take the bias out of the story. - AJ Kohn
Do you self a lovely favor, back up files before putting a new widget dress. Backup database right after each post! For fear mongering have you not had enough of George W Bush and his cronies? Now relax, take a deep breath, and go harpoon a Fail Whale, DM is down! lol - Igor The Troll
I'm hosted with Wordpress directly and have never had a problem. If you don't keep up with the updates then, of course theres trouble. But WP takes care of that for me. So the real question is whether you host it yourself or use Wordpress to host it for you. - Roberto Bonini
