"Yeah, I realized that the new Google Drive attachments were links when I tried to send something to a friend. It's a cool idea, but I agree I wouldn't personally use it for job submissions. I *do* have my resumes and other job search stuff on Drive, however. But because I also want to sync with 2 computers I have the program so the docs are stored on my pc as well. I just attach the local copy when I apply to jobs by email."

"I don't know. My battery is perfectly flat, but it spins (at least a little). I think most smooth, flat objects will have a little spin if you give them a hard twist.."

"My android phone gets terrible battery life too (it's down to about 4 hours from fully charged to dead). But what you say about battery extenders for game systems makes me wonder if such a thing is possible / available for smartphones."

"As someone who's (been) planning (for a while) to run a superhero RPG, I've been looking at TV and comics for inspiration. Since I'm planning to run it with a variation of the Dresden Files RPG system (which has worksheets for city themes), I thought this article had some interesting ideas."

"I wish NY was one of the states with stricter laws about security deposits. A lot of states make landlords put the check into an interest-bearing account and send the details to the tenant. Many states also have penalties that can cost landlords double (or triple) the deposit if they don't send a certified letter within 30 days of the move-out date detailing (itemized) exactly why they're keeping the security."

"My aunt looked at apartments with a broker, but after a while it was starting to look like a scam. i think she finally wound up taking one of the apartments, but it's definitely easy for a broker/landlord to just sit back and do "credit checks.""

"It's just a special type of mail you can send. You fill out some cards that they attach to the letter and you get proof of delivery and it's signed for. But it's just mail, so you can include anything you'd put in a letter."

"Or better yet, email them to your landlord. Email's great for stuff like this, because it's all dated and both sides (theoretically) have copies. Or, yeah, you could send a certified letter."

"YES! I've watched enough of "the People's Court" to know that this is a major necessity. As for sending the pics to yourself, I'm not sure that's really necessary. Most apartment-related lawsuits are going to be in small claims court, which has more relaxed standards for evidence admission. There's a CXracked article that gives good advice along these lines: http://www.cracked.com/blog..."
