As yet unseen footage of the first stable version of levelHead, an augmented-reality spatial-memory game by Julian Oliver. Warning! This is a spoiler for the first 3 cubes: the easy Red Cube, the tricky Green Cube and the ridiculously difficult Orange Cube. NB: This footage was captured using desktop screencapture software. This reduced the performance of the game a bit. You can read more about levelHead and how it works here: http://julianoliver.com/levelh... - Josh

Didn't I see this on an episode of Dr. Who recently? - Lindsay Donaghe
reminds me of when I was a kid and decided I was going to read all the fiction books in the library. So I checked out the first five books. Nope don't remember a one. - Ruth Ferguson
Ruth, you have no idea how glad I am to know that I'm *not* the only kid who tried to read the library! - Stupid Blogger (aka Tina)
The Seattle Central Library was my favorite thing to shoot in Seattle on my recent trip. I *love* beautifully designed libraries. - Thomas Hawk
I'd like to have every room setup as a library, I love the big old houses with the fireplaces and libraries seems very Vincent Price. My 2 favorites that I've been to ar the Biltmore Estate and JP Morgan Musuem - clarke thomas via twhirl
there is something romantic and powerful about beautiful libraries. To me they're the real world treasure chests of endless possibility. - Morgan
Whoaa..... lock me in with some food, a bed & bathroom, then throw away the key. Thanks. - Louie

I'm oddly pleased that almost 90 people have marked this as a like. Says something about the FF community if you ask me (which of course you didn't). - Stupid Blogger (aka Tina)
This is a great list to use to add places in the world to my map of things that I still need to shoot. So many beautiful libraries. - Thomas Hawk
Whoaa! Nice finding, Derek. Thanks for sharing. - LouCypher
I've actually been to quite a few of these all across Europe, and they're even more awesome (and smell FANTASTIC) in person. Some are considerably smaller than the photos make them appear, which is always interesting (kinda like the church in the wedding scene in The Sound of Music...it's seems huge on film, but it's really this dinky little chapel filmed wide and high). Really great to be reminded of those visits. Thanks for posting this. :) - abacab
This is an awesome set of photos. Proud to see my alma mater's Riggs Library included in the list. - Ryan Kuder
at one point in my life, i moved the entire collection of books at the Peabody in Baltimore. not necessarily a fun job but it is exciting knowing that the collection will more than likely sit where i put it for the next twenty years. - Nathan Eckenrode

but thanks for the profile.to app, I'll install it on my FB. [edit:http://profile.to/z] - LouCypher
I'm not using Facebook but I could sure use some instructions on how to install your WONDERFUL Friend Feed bio script. Would you mind adding a short description for dummies like me (on your original post)? I would be most grateful. - melmcbride
Noted, Melanie. I'll LYK when I write up some directions. - Hao Chen
I like to think of my stuff as interestingly unique, thank you very much. - Akiva Moskovitz
Wow, how do you keep from overload? Do you read all of their friends stuff too?! - Aden
I usually never get past the front page ,, so much to read and look at ! - fotographic
thinking about that makes my eyeballs burn - Josh via twhirl
How do you keep track of all those people? I mean with that amount of people your frontpage must completely change every 10 minutes! - Jürgen Geuter
2K? whoa, that's insane. more power to you! - Sarah Perez
Corie & Aden, I don't try to keep up with every utterance while away and focus on enjoying all the interesting shares while they happen. Jürgen, your right. The front page is alive ;) Akiva, your welcome. Friendfeed would be dull without your out-of-the-box views. fotographic, you don't have to scan everything everyday. Read the front page, read the rooms, and then go directly to your "friendfeed friend hubs." Josh, try a slow build-up. #WARNING# Jumping from 100 to 1k will make your eyballs burn. - "Czar" DJ Peterman
Czar, it is QUITE refreshing to hear positivity in lieu of negativity :) Multi-taskers FTW!! I'm glad I'm subscribed to you! - Mona N.
he's got <2119 more Friends n <114 more » rooms :)- thats pretty awsome - Peter Dawson
ok I got a question... whats with all them Rooms that you admin of ? like 69 rooms currently ? Do you segregate and aggregate directly or just using them to funnel interesting tidbits ? - Peter Dawson
I would too but I can't find 2K people whose shares I'm interested in. - Morton Fox
Hey Derek, no need to answer.. I see what you doing :)_ I trolled a couple . - Peter Dawson
@Morton: Maybe you should get a split-personality-thing going and setup an account for each one. 2000 might be problematic (where should all the time come from?) but at least you could raise the number of people you can consider interesting. - Jürgen Geuter
A couple somethings Scoble said a while back lured me to FF: follow people smarter than you, listen and engage through comments. FF is about as close to stream-of-consciousness aggregation as you can get right now. - Chris Kim A
@Czar - That sounds like a good way to do it. I'm trying to sloooooowly up my subscriptions so I don't get overwhelmed. :-) - Corie Allison
MortonFox, might I recommend you start with the folks who like and comment on your feed items. - "Czar" DJ Peterman
I also cannot find 2k of people with *mostly* English entries that I also find interesting. - Here's... possible248!
You are good. I don't think I'd ever subscribe to that many people, regardless of content. - Corvida via twhirl
I'm subbed to just over 300 - not sure if I could handle your kind of numbers - Steven Hodson
I have nearly 500 and it's nuts! I gotta scale this stream of feed way back...not sure where to apply cuts *unsubscribes" ...looking for duplication weed garden magic. - Susan Beebe
This is why I can't bring myself /not/ to friend people that have friended me...everyone's posting such great content, what if I miss something? - Evangeline
That's a lot of subscriptions, sorry for the bump on this been away for a week! - Joe Dawson

WOW! Really nice. Oh! Sh*t! I was really with attention looking at the emotions going through your jump, you seemed so nervous on the plane, it took you a good 30 seconds of being in that state, am I right? - Elijah Bailey
congrats Hao ,, great footage ,,, loved the music - fotographic
I agree! Gary "Muppet" Harbird, the videographer/photographer, did a great job shooting and editing. Also, big props to my instructor, Cameron King. Thanks for the memories! You guys ROCK. - Hao Chen
Many of the instructors have jumped 3,000+ times; some even 8,000+, so you know it's pretty safe. Everyone should try this at least once in their lives. It's exhilarating! And you don't even get that stomach feeling like you do on rollercoasters. Just you, the wind blowing in your face, and one hell of a view. @Josh Planning to go again soon. :) - Hao Chen
Yeah, I'd totally be a repeat offender. Only thing is, it's a little expensive, especially if you take all the classes so you can jump alone. I keep picking up expensive sports (skydiving, paintball). I'd also like to try the indoor skydiving with the vertical wind tunnel. Looks fun! - Hao Chen
hao: the place you went does an awesome job - when i went for the 1st time almost 30 yrs ago there was no buddy jump - it was alone only & no photos/video - things have improved a ton - glad you had fun :) - mike "glemak" dunn
Since Jaiku was acquired by Google last year it's been closed to new signups. It's essentially dead where it stood. - Adam Turetzky via twhirl
The good thing about FriendFeed is, that it keeps all your streams together. So you don't have to leave a service anymore. Drop in, drop out. On FriendFeed nobody will notice it. - Benedikt Koehler
I got tired of the Link Only Community on Twitter constantly sending just links and offering no Replies or interaction. - Scot Duke
it's amazing the correlation between someone losing their cell phone and someone losing their twitter followers. Will people go back to the snail mail days? Is it the end of the world as we know it (start signing the REM song)? I had a twitter follower call me for the first time today after 2 months of chatting back and forth. - Randy Ksar
My trust in twitter is gone. They've destroyed any sense of brand/product integrity. Outages were sufferable, but annihilating my network / community on their app is paramount to twitter deleting my account (they've in affect reduce their app functionality to an unusable point - can't DM numerous followers, etc!). Now a mass exodus of users will have to go find a reliable service that we can count on to not only preserve valuable network data, but also ensure higher uptime. Bye twitter, you suck! - Susan Beebe
I had over 500 followers; now down to 376; Had about 850 I was following, now down to 756. My network is valuable to me and my circle of friends. I must protect that and use an app that won't fail us so miserably. Now I am using Identi.ca --> http://identi.ca/susanbeebe - Susan Beebe
I went from following quite a few very cool people to 29. Not too stoked with that at all. I'm using identi.ca as well. - Candace Holly
Are they not going to be able to resolve the number count then? - Joe Dawson
I thought they've got all that funding for their potential... but most probably this was a huge mistake as they seem to have just a huge potential to FAIL. - Alex Popescu via twhirl
@Joe I am starting to believe that they will not be able to restore it. They will patch it and come up with some sort of explanation for the missing pieces. And that will be a lie. - Alex Popescu
@Joe Dawson (joedawson): I think this is the real question. If the number count isn't resolved by end of today, that could be the last straw. - Mike McCallister via NoiseRiver
Thanks for calling them followers instead of fans! It sounds more reciprocal and less adoring. - Liz
