I hate it when that happens. I understand the need to pay for bandwidth, etc, but when it gets right in the way, it messes with my fragile mind. - MiɳiMagɘ (Sexy Scimitar)
It's like someone closing your book for you while you're reading...or changing the channel once you get into a show on TV. I mean...WTF. If you don't want me to read your site, fine. You don't have to get rude about it. - ♫ Rahsheen™

After emailing a letter to Senator Stephen Conroy outlining his objections to the Australian internet filter, Michael got an email back telling him not to contact them but his MP, which is really weak considering the amount of controversy surrounding this issue. - Matthew Brown

"You're right. Instead of "Did you know that when you die, there's nothing" or "Darwin showed you're related to a monkey?" he could have said: "Do you know the relief of not worrying about heaven or hell?" and "Darwin showed that life can make perfect sense without a god." He missed a great opportunity. Damn comedians. Always putting laffs first." - Joshua Nunn

FriendFeed Feedback: Tim Hoeck posted a message
“FF IM is great! But....”
November 9 at 9:09 am - Link
It's missing a couple important options of what/who to follow. - Tim Hoeck
1) I can only follow one feed at a time.. this should be an option for each feed. - Tim Hoeck
2) I should be able to follow 'posts that I commented on', not just 'people who comment on my posts' - Tim Hoeck
Both are great suggestions. I hadn't thought of the 2nd, but the first is needed for sure. - Nick Munson
3) I need to see the persons name, not their user id. - Tim Hoeck
#2 would be my favorite, because I wouldn't miss anything from any conversation that I have "joined" - Tim Hoeck
Try FF-Filtered - Track matters http://ff-filtered.cosinity.co... Make sure you filter for your FF username. - Brian Roy
2 is a definite and would find it more useful than any other IM feature. - Kol Tregaskes
Brian, I'm giving that a go now, so just enter your name in the filter box? - Kol Tregaskes
Yep... just put your FF username (and anything else you'd like to see separated by commas) in the filter box. - Brian Roy
The developer API still lacks important features - Ozkan ALTUNER
Brian.. that is very cool. I like being able to filter for specific words. Is the IM portion not working at the moment? Unfortunately, this doesn't really do any of the things listed above - Tim Hoeck
seems like a great start, I just hope its more stable than most chat bots seem to be ;) - immaterial
I just want to reiterate some of the IM requests. First, IM when someone comments on something I have already commented on would be great. Also having the name of the user, not the id would be helpful as well. - Rob Diana
Thanks for the feedback. You can see the name of the user when you type @user. - Dan Hsiao
that is really cool Dan, thanks! I didn't realize you could do that... any chance of following all conversations I "join"? - Tim Hoeck via IM
I'd like a universal option that if I reply to a twitter from someone it ALWAYS gets sent back to twitter as an @reply. That way I can use IM to reply to an entry, and know it will be sent back to twitter. - Joshua Nunn

“Since I pipe my FriendFeed posts to Twitter now, it would be nice to have some kind of control character or something so that certain FF-specific posts (like this one) won't be sent over.”
November 12 at 10:39 pm - Link
And how about a control character that lets you port comments to Twitter or Jaiku? - Bernie Goldbach
@Bernie: that would be great. But FF doesn't handle Jaiku posts very well, so I've taken it out of my feeds here. I would love it if I could use FF as my one dashboard to monitor and post to all of my other SoNets, but it's not there yet. - Cheryl Jones

“To have the real-time option available everywhere would be really nice. Don't know if it;s technically possible but if it's on your home feed then it should be right? I would also like the real-time view to look just like the regular view but auto-update. The current real-time view is no good imo.”
November 11 at 3:22 pm - Link
I like having the two options available - main view for information sifting, and real-time for information dump. Taking that away leaves me with contextless twitter streams and other messed up data. - Joshua Nunn
