— Following the same idea of last month´s post Taking Advantage of Functions.php in WordPress Themes I´m releasing a couple more functions I gather trough previous months that might become useful to you to quickly develop your themes. I like to have my own library to easily get my themes code done faster thus getting more time to spend working on the design. Remember that to use these functions you have to drop functions.php file in your theme folder. - Dani McDaniel

After creating my Twitter bird logo in an origami style a week ago, I wondered what other icons would look good all origamized. Turns out a few of the web 2.0 apps/sites look great, so I decided to create a little collection for everyone to use as they see fit. I suppose you could look at these with the view that web 2.0 companies can be extremely beautiful objects, yet are still very fragile and can be crushed instantly. - Dani McDaniel

The WordPress conditional tags are some of the most powerful tools a theme designer can master. As WordPress themes get more complicated and more CMS like, everyone will eventually run into the need for conditionals. In my previous post I showed you how to write less code using conditional tags and the WordPress hierarchy. Quite a few things have changed since that post, and this time I’m going to show you some more advanced ways to use conditional tags. - Dani McDaniel
