find a foaf entry in your stream, hide it and use the hide others like this function -- it provides a number of options to hide foaf entries including hiding all

I don't because I like the data overload. However, I just spent 10 min trying to figure it out to answer your question and realized I don't know how!

Brian I have NO FOAF entries since I turned it OFF about 10 months ago. So I am still lost

ANSWER (sort of -- how to turn FOAF feature "ON") ---> "...go to the bottom of your home feed, click on "Show hidden entries," find an entry that's from a friend-of-a-friend, and click "unhide." It'll unhide all friend-of-a-friend entries." Courtesy of Mark Trapp http://friendfeed.com/itafroma

How can I turn off the "Friend of friend" entries? 1. Find a friend-of-a-friend (FOAF) entry on your FriendFeed 2. Click on the "Hide" link 3. Once the entry has been hidden, there will be a link to "See options for hiding entries like this" 4. Click this link and you will be presented with a few options, one of which is to hide all FOAF entries. You can even select the check box below this option to keep hiding FOAF entries "even if they have comments or likes". If you only want to hide the FOAF entries from some of your friends, just make sure to follow the above steps on one of those friends' entries.

By the way, if you hide anything it really doesn't get removed from your view totally. At the bottom of your home page will be a link where you can see all the hidden stuff. This really makes turning off friend-of-a-friend stuff very useful!

Robert I turned of FOAF about 10 months ago, how do you does one turn it back ON?? any ideas?
- Susan Beebe
Susan, go to the bottom of the page where you've hidden all items. Click on hide again and you'll see the options again.
