Wrightslaw (special education advocacy site) now has a blog and a place to ask or answer questions. This is such a great resource!

I agree about them. I have all newsletters in a folder at one email address and got their books and a due process DVD I need to watch and review.
- Bonnie Sayers
I want to know that also. I know that you can set up the voting or ranking for subscribers only, but not how to set up an 'area' they need to sign in to.
- Joy O'Hare AKA Faye
I would think there would be a plugin for that. It would make sense at least.
- Stephan Miller
Just wanted to stop in and invite you all to join Plurk - similar to Twitter but more conversational and fun - also been a bit of adult humor with this site! - http://plurk.com/redeemB...
Gee @Dieter now tell us how you really feel :P too bad that some of us do find it fun, huh - that means you are going to continue to hear about it :P
- Paula Hawk
Yeah, the stupid referrer links come back.......
- Timo Heuer
dumb redeemByURL links log me out of plurk
- Ashton
I signed up yesturday. Love plurk. Thanks for the invite!!!

Plurk is ok, but it's way more complex than twitter making me think that if it does ever take off it will have the same if not more scaling issues than twitter. The other problem is that everyone is already too invested in twitter to just walk away... at least not in mass exodus. Hopefully twitter will resolve their issues before it's too late.
- Ben Rasmusen
I like Friendfeed but at the same time, I don't want Twitter to die. Both have their uses.
- Morton Fox
Me neither, but the writing is on the wall.
- Bwana ☠
It's sad about Twitter but who's to say that FriendFeed will not run in to the scaling issues that Twitter has? Scaling such a service is a non trivial problem.
- Gersham Meharg
Triviality is a non-issue for end-users. Always has been, always will. Users only care if it works or not, as they should. I just wish Twitter would have communicated better early on, then it is my belief that users would be more forgiving.
- Bwana ☠
@bwana - of course users don't care, nor should they. Doesn't make the problem any easier to solve though. Given that FriendFeed is 1/10th or so the Twitter user base the scalability of FriendFeed is still undetermined.
- Gersham Meharg
I don't think anyone here is saying the problem is easy to solve nor is anyone here saying FriendFeed is more stable. My point is that the problem is there and it's getting worse and Twitter's communication problems didn't help the situation at all.
- Bwana ☠
I guess I should qualify once again, I'm not happy Twitter is having problems
- Bwana ☠
Not a day goes by when I don't get an email from some long forgotten throwaway service talking about whatever it is they're peddling, that makes me sign into an account whose information I've long forgotten to unsubscribe from the email. Bad social media companies! Bad!
- Mark Trapp
I just ran into this again today. Absolutely ridiculous. I had another one that wants me to send mail to some address to unsubscribe. Not Email..Snail Mail. Actual paper. The nerve...
- Rahsheen ™, Coach Rah
Yeah, the spectrum is from "they can't be bothered to let you easily unsubscribe" to "they try so hard to prevent you from unsubscribing".
- Wil
the benefit of being me is no company wants to harass me. they are scared. try to call my phone and I will have u pulling ur hair out. Mom keeps a tape recorder by the phone and we taped a debt collector we owed money to... and instead of us giving him a buck... we collected $17,000 ...and email spam that comes my way will be spammed right back. it is a guarantee. I'm a marketing persons nightmare because I spent years in the industry and I know the rules. never sell a salesman
- Noah David Simon
feel free to invite others to this room - as long as they are bloggers and/or are interested in the ProBlogger type topic I'm happy for anyone and everyone to join. I've invited all my contacts on FF. Pity there's no list of public groups for people to join.
Thanks for creating the room. I've been using Friendfeed for a month or so but have found that I don't use it that much ... I haven't been able to pinpoint why I don't like it. I do like the idea of rooms but I don't see how the information contained will be manageable or organized over time. Anyway, my name is Kim and I just redefined my blog to be about an introvert using social media - (Anti) Social Development - http://www.kimwoodbridge.com
- Kim
Here's a way of getting a list of Freindfeed rooms that have been indexed by Google http://is.gd/lfP
- Andy Roberts
thanks aroberts - i was looking for a room directory
- Kim
I joined FriendFeed a few days ago. Unfortunately I'm not familiar with it...
- Wang Jinbo
I was wondering if Friendfeed rooms can be a good publicity tool for sharing blog post links. You get like-minded people who might also share your blogging interests. But then it can also become just another social bookmarking site or worse spam of links. What's your take on this, Darren?
