The stupidity at Mozilla is only outweighed by the indolent inbred indifference that plagued the Netscape folks. Maybe the Mozilla folks are starting to drink out of the same cup.

I can agree with this.Twitter works as a bus. network because it has very little structure. Plurk fails because it has too much.

Plurk is not a Twitter clone. Plurk is conversations-based, whereas Twitter is a broadcast IM system with conversations tacked on clumsily. Plurk also encourages more focused following than Twitter, as the timeline will croak with 2000 people followed. I suspect it could be VERY popular with the Facebook/Bebo crowd - the less tech-centric users, who don't have thousands of friends
