Just yesterday I had a corrupted directory in a 4GB CF while in camera. Was able to later retrieve nearly all images with PC Inspector (freeware, www.convar.com).

I want to know if images on the flash card can be edited on the card, or do I have to download them first? In fact, I want to edit the images while the card is still in the camera. (I guess I could try it sometime..)

It would be hard to say that the world didn't see it coming. Apple has been increasingly disingenuous to their investors and this may be the final straw. I expect the stock to tank.. the timing couldn't be worse.
