Bring a box of 'em back please. - Josh Haley
Sounds awesome. how much? - Scott Overpeck
Photos or a short video of the market would be nice if possible, hint, hint! - Roney Smith
Scott: about $200 before negotiating. I have some photos, but will post them later tonight. - Robert Scoble
Look forward to seeing them. You know anyone who has tried one. - Scott Overpeck
Scott: I don't. Everyone has real iPhones that I've met with, but then I'm hanging out with geeks. - Robert Scoble
Definitely bring some back. Need a shipping address? - Ralph Riccardi
Dealextreme has knockoff iPhones all the time. Not sure if they're dual SIM but my memory is they fetch about $120ish plus a few dollars shipping (which is super fast). I can't vouch for whether they actually work. I think the $199 price for an 8GB iPhone takes a lot of the wind out of the sales of the these fakes. - Wayne Schulz
WOW - What a concept!! "and have replaceable batteries” - JimmyJet
Replaceable batteries might have saved my co-worker, who dropped her phone into water. Sadly, I don't think there's a way to quickly kill all power to an iPhone, if you can't remove the battery. - MiɳiMagɘ (Sexy Scimitar)
The iPhone should have a recessed switch for cutting off battery... for those kind of situations - KtecK
Photos will be nice! I wonder if the knock offs function as well as the real thing, the battery idea is very cool though. - Barbara Duck
Robert, have you see Android knockoffs? - Julio F ~ @SocialJulio
Have fun in Shanghai robert. Try to take time for an evening visit @ "JC Club" in Fuxing Xi Lu / Wulumuqin Lu - great little jazz-place. Today Sunday is nice - w CoCo a local star. Show starts around 10pm. - Niels Peter
Julio: I haven't seen any Android knockoffs yet. In the black market everyone comes up to you and says "handbag? watch? iPhone?" - Robert Scoble
Android is open source. There's no such thing as an Android knockoff. - scott anderson
PLEEASE show us some pics or videos of the iphone knockoffs - natadd
natadd: I will post those later tonight. Still have tons of meetings today. - Robert Scoble
LOL. Almost better than the original :) - Ryo
No knockoffs of the Android software - but were these running the genuine iPhone OS? If so, you could get the same with Android: knockoff hardware, say copying the T-Mobile one, but running genuine Android. - James
On the android thing, iirc there is already work being done getting android up and running on the neo freerunner. That is the latest openmoko phone, btw ;) - turn.self.off
It might be fun to get Android running on the knockoff iPhones. - scott anderson

That would be the same email that specifically asks that it not be republished? I'm nothing like an expert in copyright law, but if nothing else, this is damnably bad manners. Shame. - Andrew Garrett
you should be ashamed of yourself Mr. Arrington. - Joshua Smith via twhirl
@erick SHAME ON YOU ERIK! this is exactly the kind of dismissive and arrogant behaviour we have come to expect from MArrington but now it seems to have infiltrated the entire ranks of TC! ... You didn't even try to do the right thing! if you were going to publish this content regardless of Jason's wishes then surely it was reckless and opens TC to litigation that you did not even liaise with J. to establish if he was willing to make dispensation for TC to publish it...DIDN'T EVEN TRY! ...I hope Jason slaps your asses with a DCMA....either way, i Ignore M.Arrington already..and now TC is an inch away from being removed from my feeds altogether, well done Erick! - Mr.Tiggr
...and as if the actual publication weren't enough of a slap in the face to Jason; it is clear that TC (via Erick) show NO REGARD for Intellectual property rights and copyright law: FROM ERICK's TWITTER FEED: "@JasonCalacanis news trumps copyright, sorry. " ....-123,456,786 to TC! - Mr.Tiggr
THis is how it should have been done! http://www.centernetworks.com/... notice how the email from Jason is paraphrased, with explanatory and editorial comments from Allen Stern (the author)..its almost as if he (allen) did some actual real journalism rather than regurgitating copyrighted material...a lesson to be learned by TC here maybe. - Mr.Tiggr
Thanks Mr. Tiggr! I spent a lot of time working on that post. - Allen Stern

Avira Antivirus, free for personal use and IMHO the best low-resource and good detection AV going. - cmiper

None! I use a Mac with OS 10.5.5 all updated just today with the big 136MB Java iteration. Nothing installs without my password. - Siddharth Deb

I like the new Facebook. To quote Obama: Facebook for change :) - Baard Overgaard Hansen
i like it alot - Jeff Douglass
I like the new Facebook. Change is possible. Yes we can! - Elliott Ng
I love the New Facebook, I've been using it since the first moment I could. Which means I'm actually using Facebook again, a major change. - Aram Zucker-Scharff via twhirl
I like it now. I didn't like it at first and kept switching back to the old one, but then I just jumped in and haven't looked back. - James Ferguson
I didn't like it at first either but it's growing on me. - Ray Grieselhuber
The new FB is a fail, IMO. A lot to like in the new design, but the overwhelming clutter of combining the news feed and wall is just way too much. Poor implementation. Also while the Apps had gotten annoying and out of control, the current placement has basically killed a small industry of app development. - Steve Isaacs
...I think the new interface is alright tho... - Andrew via twhirl
I love it. I don't get why people hate it so much. I think it's cleaner than the old FaceBook. I guess people like all the apps on the profiles, which mad them load really slow a lot of times. - Thankful Molly
People don't like change and people like to complain; that is why there is so much fuss. - Arthur Guy
I love change. I love redesigns. I don't love bad, cluttered design that frustrates people. - Steve Isaacs
Because parts of it are very clunky. I like the front page because it makes it easier to comment on things. But, I hate the new profiles. They are very clunky and don't flow well. - Mathew Ballard
I'm not. I don't use Facebook. :-) - Dave Winer
The AJAX tabs for the profiles work well. The 3rd party applications, however, need to be updated to take advantage of the tab system - Glenn Batuyong
@dave I couldn't sign up to facebook.. wouldn't allow me to use the name I want to use. I refuse to use my RL name, I prefer the identity I forged for myself online.. but they don't make any allowances for this :S http://www.alphaxion.com/?tag=... - alphaxion
Im with dave ... not using facebook ,, too many spammy apps and too amny pokes - johnpiercy via twhirl
Oh people, stop complaining, if you don't like it, don't use it and go away. *rolls eyes* - Thankful Molly
I like it. I have been happy so far. I don't use more than 6 apps. That is the key to making it useful. Dump all those crazy apps! - James Herbert via twhirl
It's easier to navigate and the social element is better than the last. I like it. This change is good. - Jonathan Kong
i don't mind it as user, but as developer it's been a total clusterfuck - Bill Seitz
I also like it. For basically all the reasons that people have already listed. - Chieze Okoye
The usability is a vast improvement. I don't post directly to FB, instead I let FriendFeed, FeedHeads, Twitter, etc update it. I just use it for the livefeed of all my friends that still aren't on FriendFeed yet. Why isn't the LiveFeed the default tab? - Troy Forster via twhirl
