The alternative that I prefer is that we elect people who we believe have solid moral values and charge them with making decisions that follow from those values. Frankly, as long as their values are moral and their decisions are just, I'm not concerned with their stated religion or irreligion. (Though it seems we have strayed rather far afield from my original topic. :P)"
