Hi Jesse, what a ride:) Haven't made my first dollar yet but have learned a ton of stuff to keep using! I encourage everyone to keep connected. Some of us all going to form a team to take the 30 day challenge over in Sept. Come join us if you want, will be making a post in the forum on it shortly.
- Curtis Miller
Sounds good - right now I am working on making some DVDs of the 30DC video training so I can watch them on TV - if anyone is interested I can mail them for cost of postage when I have of them finished.
- Jesse Seymour
Jesse if you didn't don't feel bad. The majority of TDC don't. But the process is what is important and what was taught...Oh I didn't either..
- jim sainsbury
Me either! But I hope to be by tomorrow. I'm waiting on my DNS. I think you can get around that but I wasn't sure so I just thought I'd wait until tomorrow.
- Shauna
I'm not caught up at all- just now settling on a key phrase- ha!- just call me slow poke :)
- Nancy Nigh
I just dumped the two ideas I was going with because they weren't holding my interest so now I am back at the SEO analysis stage again - I'm getting really quick at market research though ;)
- Jesse Seymour
I think I'm getting it, any idea where we send in the screen shots for tonights show? Also I've only seen about 4 of us making comments here I'm just curious if the other team members are still around.
- Shauna
I'm still working on keyword research - have about 10 more markets to evaluate traffic for and then its on to competition evaluation
- Jesse Seymour
Try to get a hold of Nez he will know where to send the screen shots....I wish Friend Feed had a way of posting to each in our group. I am not sure that is possible but it would be nice if everyone sounded off....
- jim sainsbury
Jim I am sounding off:) Just got home from my JOB, anyone found out where to post screen shots yet?
- Curtis Miller
Not sure I can commit to a regular appearances as I am also trying to sell my house during the 30dc but I will attend as I am available
- Jesse Seymour
No worries Jesse just throwing out ideas for encouraging each other, Shauna Skype is software you can use on your computer to talk to people for free with just a mic. Here is the url http://www.skype.com/ After you have it installed lets us know and we can add you and set up a time to introduce ourselves.
- Curtis Miller
Maybe everyone is just so wrapped up with trying to learn Market Samurai. :)
- Craig Stokes
I put together a little cheat sheet for all the actionable items for pre-season. I made the assumption that everyone who uses this file is familiar with the training and it is not intended to explain any theory - just a list of actionable items.

Thanks for the cheat sheet. It's very re-assuring to know that nothing is falling through the cracks. Especially, when one "discovered" the 30DC quite late in the pre-season stage. Great job.
- Marko Zirkovich
Hi again I just found out about the 30DC on Monday 7/28. So I rushed through all the preseason videos and they are all kind of a blur. Flock seems to be running really slow so I want to go back over the instructions to speed it up but I can't remember which video it was in. Was it the 1st
Lesson 3 also talks about speeding Flock up
- Curtis Miller
# OPTIONAL: Speeding up flock * In the address bar, type in about:config and hit the enter key * In the filter box, type in network.http * Change network.http.pipelining to true * Change network.http.proxy.pipelining to true * Change network.http.pipelining.maxrequests to 30 or higher * Close Flock and then restart it
- Jesse Seymour
Thanks Jesse I did find the instructions on the preseason videos. Ed put his at 40 is a higher number better or should I just stick with 40?
- Shauna
Shauna, theoretically the higher the number the faster web pages will load - however there is a cut off point at which you will get no further performance gains because of the bottleneck created by your processor, memory and Internet connection speed. I have found that 30 to 40 is a good number so I would say just stick with 40.
- Jesse Seymour
I put together a little cheat sheet for all the actionable items for pre-season. I made the assumption that everyone who uses this file is familiar with the training and it is not intended to explain any theory - just a list of actionable items. I hope this helps people get caught up if they fell behind. I built this using the transcripts - so give all the credit and praise to whoever made the transcripts, not me - I just gathered it all up in one place.

Friend feed is much, much more than google groups - for example, you can follow someone in FF and see what news items from Google Reader they share, what pages they like in StumpleUpon, what videos they produce on YouTube - basically you can get information that you would otherwise miss on FF
- Jesse Seymour
I'm relatively new as well, but so far I think that google groups would be like joining a room in FF, a place where the discussion is focused on one topic and the general FF lets you see your friends activities/interests. What I do know is that there is not a dumb question in the 30DC, everyone I've met likes to help.
- Wayne Brewin
It's a good question. The rooms in Friendfeed were at first quite similar to googlegroups/usenet but now with the feeds going into them it's a bit different. Also Googlegroups can be accessed as a many-to-many email list, which is still very powerful. Friendfeed conversations are restricted by not having quoting or multiple paragraphs, so they fizzle out quicker than mailing list conversations, but longer than twitter.
- Andy Roberts
We actually use both but as you will see in the challenge - Friendfeed has some killer marketing uses - Andys summary is pretty spot on
- Ed Dale
Must admit I am still a little confused with ff and the rooms. So I am building up a picture with all the comments coming in. Keep it up.
- Russ Pelvin
Oh nooo - Ed will be without a suite this night!??!! Aaaaaaa :-) hehehe
- Gabi Bucataru
Thank God for no suit tonight. Some things like cookies and cream just go together nicely while other things such as liver and onions or Ed Dale and a suit are just nightmarish together :)
- Jesse Seymour
