The first computer I ever wrote code on. In sixth or seventh grade, I wrote a program called "The Oracle" with a kid named Chico Trowbridge. Thanks (and a shout-out?) to Mrs. Cheryl "math" Davis of Connors-Emerson Elementary in Bar Harbor for encouraging us every step of the way. - Anthony Citrano

My first was a TRS-80 Model 4. I loved that computer. Later I got a Model 1000 and my neighbor and I used to argue over whose was better. He had a Commodore 64. We were both in 7th or 8th grade. Good times. - Jason Shultz

Model I and later III, then 4, then even a 4P, Apple II+, then IIe, Vic20, CoCo and on and on... Good times. One of the greatest things I ever wrote was "mac-like" UI for the Model III with a completely dynamic menuing system, overlapping and movable menus and dialogs, etc. I was barely a teenager at that time. Other projects included arcade game clones (Qbert one of my most proud) and D&D character generators and crude RPGs and RTSes. Oh, and hacking the shit outta Trek. :) - abacab
I should add that, quite sadly, not a single one of those projects has survived. :( Damn floppies. - abacab
I used to sell those things. That makes me officially as old as dirt. ;-) - Julie Barrett
