Kinect和CAD扫描仪完全不是一个等级的东西，kinect扫出来的点云数量和精度都很低。对于逆向用的扫描仪完全没有影响。

LS说得没错，PC出现时也没有影响到大型机的生意。甚至到现在很多人仍然觉得做三维动画必须得用专用工作站，好莱坞大片都是靠SGI这类的猛机做的。实情是02年我在动画公司呆的时候所有人都在用Dell了，只有国防部，国土资源局，大学这样的机构还在用SGI。那个公司里的头等大事有三件：拉投资，赶工期，剩下就是研发插件和渲染设置——如果光指望大厂出的软件和滤镜，这个公司就不用开了。

不是很清楚什么是日常的三维扫描。这个机器的技术有点模棱两可。采用的技术可以拿来做高精度扫描，但是自己的机器精度实际上不行。定位没娱乐行业用的机器又太笨了。主要还是看你要拿文件做什么。拿来逆向的话，点云精度不够。软件也是。实际上能做逆向的就那么几个厂的机器可以，如faro什么的。其他的都是可以给你提供一定的点云，能看出形状，但是精度没法拿来做逆向。高精度的扫描仪还是很贵。但是做艺术品级别的就有很便宜的。手机的摄像头都可以做扫描，看你用什么方法了。

@Kenan Wang 其一，“做逆向”有几种方式，如果是说要直接用扫描回来的点云算出parametric surface，这个要求自然是很高。较为便（bian）宜的做法是参照mesh来人工建模，这正是我现在打算做的。我还没有见过有人直接用逆向出来的面去做正式模型的，也许是我孤陋寡闻吧。其二，“高精度的扫描仪还是很贵”，我相信这是针对于名厂大牌而言。单说拍照式扫描仪，核心部件也就是光栅和CCD。只看这两样的话，一个小牌子今年新出的新机器在精度方面应该不比两年前一个大牌出的差。——当然这些都是我的揣测罢了，实际情况敬请留意后续更新，下周就要去买了。

三维扫描出来的不是面也不是mesh，而是点云point cloud。点云再生成才会是mesh。曲面不是好用只是拿来做参照的话，很多diy的便宜机器可以用了。

从我这几天做的功课看来，考虑的主要因素有：光学性能——决定精度的主要因素，也是大厂的价格基础；将多角度扫描结果拼合时的程序/运算能力——需要程序写得好，处理器速度高，这意味着旧机器和新机器的差别巨大；扫描件的预处理（喷涂）以及扫描的工作量——这是看自己有多少本事，愿意花多少功夫了。至于原厂附带的那些mesh转parametric的售价不菲的软件并不是必需品，我还是用犀牛搞定吧。

是啊，但是出来的区别很大的，有些软件直接给你算出很圆滑的mesh，但是实际精度和原物完全不是一码事。而且圆滑的东西很好扫描。比如人脸的直接可以用照片测量软件就可以了。不用花钱买机器，能个单反就可以了。有棱角的和反光低端机器扫不出来。xyz精度高于0.1mm的点云的扫描仪基本不能拿来产品的逆向。Geo magic 和Rapidform都是逆向用的，最后出什么文件完全取决于在逆向上花的时间，最后的文件可以生成有历史记录的实体的文件。那些扫描自带的做CAD文件基本没用。想artec和fastscan都不好用，更不用说nextengine了。
