I used to refer to myself as a networking junkie, attending every business event i could find, finally picking a few that really worked for me. The same is true with my social networking. I will check out many, but after awhile most fall off the radar, with a few that really fill a need rising to the top. I hope you'll explore Identi.ca more. It runs on the Laconi.ca platform, which is federated, so you would only need one account and could subscribe to users on any other federated service from that one account. I wouldn't expect Plurk/Jaiku/Twitter/etc. to become federated, but I am extremely excited by all the new federations of Laconi.ca popping up daily. - Marina Martin
