Lemme launch LR. BRB *added: Increase of Blacks, recovery, and clarity -- all done via Quick Develop. Forget what ya heard, LR cuts PS workflow down by 95%. Not even kidding.

@Mona - you aren't very far off, i'll tell you that (from the first guess)
- Justin Korn
Second guess is a bit further off...I never use quick develop
- Justin Korn
Hmmm really? Quick Develop is the easiest for me. I just go through all the options and increase. Went to the next window over for the first time the other day and was shocked to see Vignette LOL Quick Develop ftw.

There are soooo many extra options available in full mode. You gotta start playing with the stuff at the top like Graduation filter and adjustment brush...they are KEY
- Justin Korn
Anywho...here is what I did (roughly): Lightroom...actually used the Direct Positive Preset, added a graduated filter from bottom to top adjusting the Exposure, Brightness, Contrast, and Saturation specifically on the bottom portion, adjusted White Balance, bumped Vibrance and Saturation on entire image and played with the Tone Curve a bit. Finally removed a few dust spots. Any questions?

My Favourite is: The Aged Photo preset, then set the white balance back to auto, bump up the blacks and then slide saturation back around zero. It takes some tweaks from then but gives a look I like :)

I really like the Aged look as well, but I usually end up making that look myself rather then using the Preset...I rarely actually use the built in presets. Sometimes I'll play with them to get ideas if I don't already have an idea of what I want the image to look like.
- Justin Korn
Indeed. I created a preset based off the Aged Photo called 'Fancypants' as I was going to the style of Carlotta :)

Carlotta Fancypants is awesome!
