I looked at at least two pages of every user who posted. I just started learning, so I bookmarked about 20 pages that I'll be coming back to. This was nice, thanks!

$20 / month, for what?!?!? I don't think so...
- Justin Korn
Oh, I so hope they try this. (Don't believe a word of it). What's your source?
- ‘-.-’ Tutivillus Grift
They might create a "premium" offering (the way LinkedIn does), but it's hard to see what extra features/functionality they could get people to pay for...
- Andrew Terry
I would suggest that this is Thomas' prediction. I believe Facebook does not have plans to move to a premium model like this. (He can explain in time)
- Louis Gray
I wouldn't pay $0.01 a year for it. And I use Facebook all the time. You cannot change for a service when a free one can quickly and easily replace it. Facebook is not irreplaceable.

I can't seen Mark's photos, but after a little troubleshooting session with Marshall Kirkpatrick during net@night (http://friendfeed.com/twit-co...), it looks like Zuckerberg might have it set to Friends of Friends. - Ken Sheppardson
That's the point - there is no "public" or "private" any more. It's all about what you enable others to see. It's custom per user. He's public on some things, private on others, just like anyone else can be. The power of this new update is it gives you more control on an item-by-item basis, whereas before that wasn't quite the case.
- Jesse Stay
Umm... Actually, this update gives you far less control, since it groups a lot of items together that used to be separated. The update really does two things: 1) brings attention to it, allowing FB to lie and say "now we have better privacy controls", and 2) allow FB to change the terms to make more things public (like friends list) that were not public before. The whole update is a big...

Is the reason me and my business should be on Twitter is because 'everyone' is there or because it's the best for customer relations and communication?
Well, if you're a largeish company then I think it's important to make sure you're able to reach customers where they are talking about you whether that be Twitter, Facebook, MySpace etc
- Bryce Roney
I'm not trolling either :). I work in the agriculture and playing surface industries and I know the question will come up soon.
- Johnny Worthington
from iPhone
I agree with Bryce...in general, I just think it's a good idea to be where your customers are talking. However, it's important for the company to be able to measure the impact in some way or form. This is what we are still working on at this point. Just read this article recently and thought it (and the links within it) has been VERY helpful: http://bit.ly/4s9A0A
- Justin Korn
I'm not sure if your business, in the agriculture industry, does need to be on Twitter, are there enough people talking about your industry, and your business in particular, for it to be worthwhile and to be more than just a mouthpiece for your press releases.
- Bryce Roney
I am not there and one of the simple reasons is that I feel it is too much about one direction marketing and I just don't want it. And I don't totally believe people are really listening anyway.
- Rachel Lea Fox
I am of the opinion that you don't set up a line of communication that you are not willing to staff with resources. I can't justify setting it up cause I don't have time to monitor it
- Johnny Worthington
from iPhone
It's all about what you want to accomplish. What would be your goal/strategy of being on Twitter and how will you measure your success? Also, Twitter is just ONE aspect. Check out the link I provided above.

"Section 44 gives officers no specific powers in relation to photography and there is no provision in law for the confiscation of equipment or the destruction of images, either digital or on film. 'On the rare occasion where an officer suspects that an individual is taking photographs as part of target reconnaissance for terrorist purposes, then they should be treated as a terrorist suspect and dealt with under Section 43 of this [Terrorism] Act. This would ensure that the legal power exists to seize equipment and recover images taken."

I would like a 35mm one day but since I'm fine with the optics on my 20mm and I have a 50mm, too, it's not that essential for me. I do, however, really want a 105mm.

Help with over exposure - Could anyone give me some advise on how to avoid getting over exposed images like this when doing long exposures. Thanks :) - http://www.flickr.com/photos...
Chris - when I take sunset pictures, I start by metering the brightest spot of the frame. From there, you have a few choices. 1) Take a few bracketed shots 2) meter other areas of the frame and find a happy medium for your exposure 3) use a flash(s) to light up the surrounding area.
- Justin Korn
Thanks for your help Justin, i shall give it ago next time the weather is good enough.
- chris
You could also try a graduated ND filter on your lens. Set it so that the darker half of the filter (where there is more light in your scene) is at the top of your frame and the lighter half is on the bottom of the frame, where you want to bring in more foreground detail.
- vicster is...
I use combo of both suggestions above ND Filter + Bracketing [-2, 0, +2]. The ND Filter alone will make your skies look gorgeous more often than not.
- Carlos Ayala
I forgot to mention that i was using a ND filter aswell. i had on a 0.3 and a 0.9. My camera does not have Bracketing so i would need to manualy do it.
