I had my post-op appointment today with the neurosurgeon. The staples were removed and he was very happy with how I'm healing! Other great news too that I'll share in my update tonight. - http://www.flickr.com/photos...

"Ack! That doesn't sound like any fun whatsoever. I have been fortunate to avoid insomnia except maybe a bit of it as I have gone through this ordeal. The Withings Aura looks awesome! I hadn't seen that before. Sucks that it is only available for iOS right now but am sure they'll release an Android app soon." - Justin Levy

Re: Social media, authenticity and the human brand - http://www.businessesgrow.com/2014...
"Just after posting my comment I read this one. Yes - you do need to be honest all the time. One of the more interesting aspects to all of this has been when I have caught up with friends on video and they remark something such as "you seem to be doing great. I wanted to get on video with you to see how you were doing vs what you were publishing"" - Justin Levy
Re: Social media, authenticity and the human brand - http://www.businessesgrow.com/2014...
"Thank you VERY much for this episode. It made me tear up knowing that you both were checking throughout the night to see if we had published an update. Unfortunately it took several additional hours once the surgery was done for me to be woken up, moved to the neuro ICU and able to even take that photo. I throughly agree with the difference between transparency vs authenticity and also with the view of "being authentic". The first update that I published was a quick status update sharing how my weekend had come to an end - something that many others do on a daily basis. As I published that update and a few others I became inundated with notes from people showing concern. That's where the journaling began and then jumped from FB to Built Unstoppable. It has now expanded to be this longer journal update instead of the shorter quick status updates that they were. And I am also working on turning the website into a passion project, helping others that are going through their own..." - Justin Levy
Re: Being a Better Digital Friend — Built Unstoppable - http://www.builtunstoppable.com/journal...
"I hadn't thought about that angle while writing - the feeling of being forced to reply. I know people that publish content who thrive on people replying to them but not in a healthy, encouraging way. It should never be like that." - Justin Levy
Re: Being a Better Digital Friend — Built Unstoppable - http://www.builtunstoppable.com/journal...
"Great comments. I agree with you. I am more likely to engage on Twitter than on Facebook, though I am trying to be more active on Facebook...probably because that is where I started with the daily journal updates. I am really glad to hear that you're finding these updates inspiring!" - Justin Levy
