"I have a U.S Apple account. I ordered my bumper on the 3rd and it shipped the 13th. I guess Apple is exaggerating the ship times, so people don't freak out."

"As usual the stores find out at last. Some stores are now telling people they are getting some later today. Has anyone found any stock this morning?"
- Justin Luey
"You should email them the info from Rogers site. Rogers is actually giving customers who only bought their iPhones 2 months ago, $250 off. To give $250 off to customers 2 months into a three year contract is very generous. I was able to buy the phone for $149 and I was only one year into a three year contract. Rogers has the best upgrade policies of the big three. I've heard Bell doesn't do early upgrades either."
- Justin Luey
"Thanks. I really appreciate you listening and taking the time to post feedback. Dealing with Rogers on launch day is a nightmare, but to be fair, they have the best upgrade policies of all the carriers. I have been able to buy three iPhones in three years at new customer pricing."
- Justin Luey
"I don't think they have an "official" policy about it, but you should always call and ask for it. Now that the iPhone is everywhere, they are really competing for customers. Make sure you tell them, that Rogers has done special pricing for iPhone users every year."
- Justin Luey
"Thanks. It was a little unorganized, but we were excited about our new iPhone 4s and still recovering from the staying up all night to be in line. Thanks for listening, and taking the time to leave feedback."
- Justin Luey
""Fanboy sheep" is a little much. The vast majority of people who bought the iPhone 4 either didn't know about the problem or didn't care about it A "flawed piece of hardware" from Apple is way better than a fully functional product from RIM, Samsung, Motorola, LG, etc. I've owned dozens of cell phones and portable computers over the years. The three best are the iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS, and iPhone 3G — in that order."

"I just tried to do some tests to post here. The Rogers network is so inconsistent right now, that I tested the speed three times without holding it, and then did three tests while holding it "death grip" style, and it was significantly faster with the "death grip". You'd have to test over and over again, over several days to get a half reliable test. I think if you spend most of your time in an area with a strong network, you won't have a problem. If you live in a bad area, you may have to "hold it different" or use a case."

"I was actually going to write a similar article. I was able to test four iPhone 4s today on three different carriers, in several different locations, and couldn't even get the bars to drop little lone drop a call. Even in my office where I only get two bar, it didn't drop a call. I'm not saying there is no issue, but it has been greatly exaggerated, and has more to do with the carrier and the signal strength."
- Justin Luey
"The upgrade tool is back online but doesn't seem to work right for people who bought the 3G and 3GS at launch. It says my upgrade price is $399 when it should be $159. Rogers is looking into it. Has anyone who bought both 3G and 3GS seen the $159 upgrade price on their account?"
- Justin Luey
"I called tonight and was told it will be standard upgrade pricing. Which means you're screwed if you got the 3GS at launch. However, they said the same thing last year and changed their mind at the last minute."
- Justin Luey
"Huge props to Gary for writing a FAQ with virtually no help from Apple and the carriers. I guess we'll have to wait until launch day or the night before (if we're lucky)."
- Justin Luey
"Thanks for the info. Episode 4 just worked for me. It's an intermittent problem with the host. I hope to switch hosts by our next episode. Thanks for listening and keeping me in the loop. I really appreciate it."
- Justin Luey
"That's strange. I didn't do anything for episode 5 and episode 10 was updated and currently works fine for me. How are you accessing the podcast? iTunes?"
- Justin Luey
"I uploaded a new version of episode 10, but I'm not sure how long it will work. It seems to be a problem with the hosting site. I'm looking into alternatives."
- Justin Luey
"I just tried it and it worked. It seems to be up and down, the host site is having a problem. I'm going to upload it to alternate source. Thanks for letting us know."
- Justin Luey
"Thanks for letting us know. I think it was a temporary problem with the site that hosts the audio. Try now and it should be working. Thanks again"

"You can receive calls from other Skype users with the latest version, if you have an iPhone 3GS or iPhone 4. You can receive calls from all phones with a Skypein number, but you are right, they don't have Canadian numbers at this time."
- Justin Luey
"Skype is slow to update, but it's always worth the wait. I have used it several times already. You can receive calls and text in the background, and you can also leave the app and keep talking. I tried it over wi-fi and 3G and the call quality is amazing."
