"I'm the fella that took the snap during product photography of the action figures, so I'll chime in. The figures were setup in a light tent with three hot lights and shot with a now ancient Canon 40D with a 50/1.4 wide open. While the photo that was uploaded here didn't go through post, it was purposely shot to test the feasibility of using the figures for stop motion (which is an edge case).
