Lemme know if you want me to ask Mr. B for suggestions.

just blew some compressed air through the fan and surrounding areas. Lots of dust. Who knows.

I had an overheating laptop recently and dust was the culprit. A repair technician from HP had to come to our office, rip apart my computer, and remove a large dust/hairball that was trapped under the CPU/VPU fan. If your dusting with compressed air doesn't completely solve the problem, don't rule out dust that can get pinched in those difficult places.

I'd love to take the case apart and see if I've got a dustball problem but I'm scared I might break something.
