"they're actually moving to DRM free stuff. SLOWLY but they are. You're right, and I don't mean to say the iTunes store is the perfect model. DRM sucks and is not part of that model. Look at all the failed DRM strategies that have stranded users with music they can't use at all. I was speaking more of the iTunes plus (DRM free) side, but also speaking of at least a system that's more open than most. 5 machines can have the DRM tracks, I think three iPods? Not sure. I know it's 3 or more since my iTouch, iphone, and Nano play the tunes. I don't think I'm the exception in the fact that pre-iTunes store, I bought maybe 1 CD a quarter, I've bought much more than that since iTunes." - John
