Tell me about it. Search.twitter.com is a constant disappointment to me. It's like an octogenarian with Alzheimers--it seems to only remember about 3% of my tweets.
- Darren Barefoot
Search.twitter.com is very broken, and the team has not publicly addressed the issues which have been ongoing for months.
- Louis Gray
Really, the only answer to this is: you can't unless you log them locally. Twitter is as useless as IRC in that sense ;-)
- Joel Bennett
does tweetdeck offer some sort of filtering on the replies column ?
- Kashif Khan
Use search.twitter.com for last 2w worth of Tweets and google the rest. :-)
- Nenad Nikolic
You can search it on Friendfeed, all your tweets come here.
- Steve Chou
Jeremy:google or bing site specific search are usually your best bet for your past tweets. For the future, loudtwitter sends tweets to a blog, or I think twistory to send 'em to google calendar. There are also a number of twitter backup services that I've used.successfully. twitter's strength is the here and now; it's not a great place to store stuff you hope to retrieve later.

"Let's take a moment to ponder this version and the Alto version, and just how many wasted instructions, layers of abstraction, frameworks, toolkits and outright cruft have gotten between the algorithm and the frame buffer in the intervening twenty-seven years."
- Jeremy Zawodny
Dear MSM. Yes, MJ is dead. We ALL know. STFU and move on, please!
Great comment: "The Google version is a high availability cluster of distributed-hash vaporizers running over a THC/IP network. All puns intended."
- Joel Webber
Is there a permalink for discussions on my items on FriendFeed? I must be blind, 'cause I'm not seeing it... oh *there* it is... I needed to click "Share" and get pop-up thingy. Hm.
Oh, I never noticed that. It was neither blue nor underlined. Handy.
- Jeremy Zawodny
Yeah, it's not exactly obvious. *grin* But handy! It's like we know a sekret or something...I forget who turned me on to that, but I'm glad I could pay it forward.
- Ken Kennedy
It look like there was a lot of discussion about underlining or making permalink blue while new interface was in beta. The time is used and not emphasized in the same way, Twitter does that.
- Myroslav Opyr
Subsidiary question: is there a way to find a discussion around a given link on the web? e.g. starting from http://xkcd.com/570/, who is talking about it on FF ?
