@maxternation @Mal_Asian @beijingdaze @quelquefois @kira_mo Let's all hope that we don't suffer any tomorrow for our capsicum sins tonight.
@maxternation That learn-to-write-Chinese site I mentioned is http://skritter.com
@Mal_Asian Good to finally meet you and thanks for organizing! Wonderful meal. Hope I don't regret it tomorrow...
@papersushi Thanks, I've already bought my new baby. Using it now!
RT @ElleAmeno Oh wow, that's mind-blowing! Chromoscope ....the Milky Way at many wavelengths. http://www.chromoscope.net/# (via @michael_nielsen)
@Chassit Have you read one of Calvin's novels called "The Baron in the Trees"? One of my favorites.
@mpdaugherty Wow, very cool system. Enjoying using it tremendously, though I'm not as good as I once was, alas. Spoiled on pinyin input!
@pdenlinger I like you SO much better in this mode!
@Chassit Right, I see. They have always seemed to me the most likely acquirer, given their cash position, desire to expand markets abroad.
@Chassit Fingers crossed that it's true re: Friendster, and that the deal's a good-sized one. (Personal interest in seeing it happen!)
RT @goldkorn: Is the Internet killing God? Or rather, is the Internet the primary force behind the "new atheism"? http://unreasonablefaith.com/2009...
RT @frankyu Hey Witopians, @beijingdaze showed me link for da new client. faster n better https://support.witopia.net/pvpn_re...
@Chassit Do you think Tencent wouldn't leverage its assets well? Or that it would be a bad fit? Who would you like to see buy it?
Try the Writing Pad function at Popupchinese.com. Hours of fun for those learning to write Chinese. Very cool! http://popupchinese.com/chinese...
@msittig Mars has been super bright the last few nights, even here in Beijing, and even during the recent full moon.
@ybouc Don't have a strong opinion on this at all. I didn't personally think there was huge need for new TLDs but it seems P.C. to have 'em.
@WildChina Actually no, haven't traveled much in China with my kids at all -- just back and forth from Shanghai, really. I'll listen in tho!
@chinabuzz Some years ago - I think this was 2005/06 - he was trying to reinvent himself as King of RFID in China. Wrote an axe job on him.
@loic Wow, really took the criticism from last year seriously! I'm sure the venue's a lot warmer too. I wish I were there! Great job!
@taodafen Early Christmas present from my wife. 她哪儿好意思送我山寨货?
@niubi RMB 14,696 including 3-year Apple Care. Bought at the Wanda reseller, gave me tons of software. Good deal.
@flypig Yeah, I just bought it. About to set it up. It's sweet!
@beijingdaze Thanks for that link. You've just deepened the crush substantially.
@niubi It's the 3.06 dual core, with a 1 T hard drive and 4G of RAM and a kick-ass graphics card. Gave me Office 08, iWork 09, FinalCut, etc
@ybouc Yeah it hurts, but the thing's so enormous & the price is going to guilt me into productivity the way a new guitar makes me practice.
New iMac (including 27" but not the quad core) now available at Sanlitun Apple Store in Beijing. Anyone know if resellers have it too?
@niubi What, you think I'd be willing to answer that one?
@jonah_kessel Plus Umphreys has such amazing two-guitar arrangements, right?
@jonah_kessel Ah, well that changes things a bit. I have room in my heart for both. Umphreys has more Metal elements, though...
@shannon_anicas Totally compatible, don't worry. No special hook up needed.
