"Today’s recipe is a quickie! A very easy to make capsicum curry, which is high on flavor and taste. Green peppers are called ‘Capsicum’ in India. This curry is from the state of Maharashtra and this is another recipe I learnt from Hema aunty. Aunty had made this with spring onions, and it was soooo tasty!! The flavor of besan (chickpea flour) with the vegetables is amazing! I’ve used capsicum here and made a few alterations. You can follow the same procedure with cabbage, methi (fenugreek) leaves or spring onions. If you do not have any vegetables on hand, go ahead and make this with just onions and it will still taste great! This Zunka can be served with roti or rice."

Lorem Ipsum has been the industry's standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. So it's since Tuesday huh? The ultimate thread. How will the thread die then? We must have a limit for that, let's say 24h without one comment.
- Zu from AOD
As a side note, I do have to applaud the endurance and pettiness of those of us on FriendFeed. No one on Facebook gave this status update a second look!
- Mike Nayyar
We pride ourselves in our pettiness and obsessiveness. Um, wait.

Remember. It's not whole Scoble likes. It's who likes Scoble.

According to FriendFeed, that's everyone. And some Twitter marketers and SEO experts.

Mike will get in the last word. Eventually. Everyone else is an idiot for playing his little game. Me included. :-)
- Robert Scoble
I'm not actually playing. Or, if I am, I'm playing to lose.

HAHA! You see that? Robert Scoble acknowledges I will eventually win! HAHA! FINALLY! For once in my life, I win! :) :) :) :) Unless Logical shows up...

Only mostly dead. There's a big difference between mostly dead and all dead. Mostly dead is slightly alive. With all dead, well, with all dead there's usually only one thing you can do.

We're testing the limit on the number of comments.

Nah, the FFundercats live chat pushed that one way over the top. We are, however, testing the limits oh how sick people are getting of setting my face.

This thread has a lot of comments, that must mean Mike is an expert of some kind...or maybe an A-Lister. Must stalk^H^H^H^H^Hinvestigate him...
- Rah-PM 2012
Olympus too? Good thing Logical doesn't know any Japanese mythological figures.

All right, if you're going to play that way, Raijin AND Ajisukitakahikone are BOTH mad at you. And Raijin was especially unhappy because you interrupted his NOMmage of children's bellybuttons.

You know at some point, expanding this comment will really put a strain on mortal browsers. It already has a 3 second pause to expand it.

I wonder if at some point we will hit a soft limit and FF won't let it keep going. That or they look at this as a great high-bounds test case for the system.

Great experiment there, I'm somewhat scared opening the thread here. Funny thing, Even the explosion of words spawned through this, making it a wordle madness. http://www.wordle.net/gallery...

cant the person that started this block the comments now? and thereby win.

If you can get buddy buddy with mike and figure out his schedule, you can prevent him from stopping the comments because you'll always be able to get the last word in. We must prevail for great justice!

you didn't disable the comments yet? you could comment and then do it and then you really would get the last word. but then again, that's cheating. and cheaters never prosper.

You're not supposed to make sense of it. It exits only as an opaque, monolithic data structure that is constantly being updated and evolving. ;)

I do not want to work on these slides anymore. In fact my mission in life is to start a company, grow it, buy Microsoft & Apple and get rid of Powerpoint and Keynote.
Dexter, The Wire, Broadwalk Empire, Game of Thrones, Downton Abbey, Six Feet Under, Weeds, 30 Rock, Misfits, True Blood, Shameless (UK), Dr. Who, Firefly, Saxondale, IT Crowd, Yes Minister, Yes PM, The Office (UK & US) ....all done and caught up. Where do I go from here?
Sopranos - done as well. I had caught a couple of eps of Big Love and don't know if it's my type of story. But I'll try it out. Deadwood! Definitely.
- The Fat Oracle
Carnivale...just looked into it. Had never heard of it. Sounds like completely my type of series.
- The Fat Oracle
Also Twin Peaks if you've never had the pleasure.
- Akiva
If you watch Twin Peaks, be sure to watch the Pilot episode first. I made the mistake of renting the series and the first episode made absolutely NO sense.
- Yvonne
Akiva, watching Twin Peaks these days on Netflix. What I like best about it? The 90s mixture of organ + piano background score.
- The Fat Oracle
Kevin, have watched a lot of UK shows - mostly the Brit comedies. Saxondale, IT Crowd, Yes Minister, Yes PM, The Office, Monty Python, Faulty towers etc. Find that I cannot get into the MI-5 or 24 kind of shows. More of a story build up kind of guy.

It's her birthday tomorrow. We broke up..bad...a little more than a month ago. But feel the urge to call, buy her a gift, say hi, ask how she is and hope she is not lonely (she probably isn't). But also know its bad for me...to go back into her world. WTF do I do?
{{{Kamath}}} That is a tough situation. Maybe, if you feel you have to do something, just send her a card.
- Anika
if it was that bad leave well enough alone.
- just ZONED
I might...card that is though as soon as I say that...I just know I shouldn't open the door yet again after what she did. But I just feel this need to do something.
- The Fat Oracle
Thanks guys. Hugs back to Katie and Anika and awkward fist bumps all around. My FF is the only place I could actually let this out.
- The Fat Oracle
If your head is telling you that it was bad and to stay away, then I'd do that, no matter what your heart says. I'm in the same place, ex-guys bday is coming up right quick and I'm steeling myself against it....no matter how badly I want to say something
- Just Katie
My experience has taught me to stay away. It's hard but it's for the best.
- Akiva
Katie, Akiva, knowing what you just said makes a big difference. At some point, I don't think its even love...it's just some need that says more about who we are than about the impact of the other person on our life. I need to stay away if I have any self-respect.
- The Fat Oracle
I tried it a few times. It worked well during my commute. I've only tried Audible. I don't know any other service.
- Rodfather
I love audible when I have time to listen to the books. I don't have a subscription though because I go too slow. I like them for long commutes, or long gaming sessions.
- Joe "Brrzzzzzzt" Pierce
check your public library. It has downloadable audiobooks too.
- DJF
It's really great when there's a good narrator that can pull off different voices.
- Rodfather
Have it, love it (especially now that Amazon owns them and I can do all my ordering from one interface). I use the library's Overdrive service, but it really can't compete with the selection...
- Webgoddess Needs A Drink
There are usually abridged and unabridged versions. It can take forever to get through an unabridged version, but you don't miss anything.
- Rodfather
I'm trying to find something I can sync to my phone, if that helps.
- Derrick
What kind of phone do you have, Derrick? I *think* Audible has clients for everything, but I could be wrong on that one...
- Webgoddess Needs A Drink
iPhone. And it looks like they have an app...
- Derrick
No, Audible has their own DRM. The good thing is, you can re-download whatever you bought in the past, any time you want. I signed up for Audible a very long time ago and my purchased books are still there, ready to be downloaded.
- Rodfather
You can just use iTunes on the iOS devices.
- Rodfather
I think you can strip the DRM with doubleTwist as well.
- Rodfather
You can get around the DRM, though... (and yes, they do have an iPhone app that works on the iPad beautifully - I use it all the time, I assume it would work as well on the iPhone - no computer syncing required). Most Audiobooks can be burnt to CD. Once there, you can rip them again as plain, unDRM'd MP3s. At least you used to be able to do that - I haven't tried it in a few years, but before I got my iPad, it was a valid way to location shift my books.
- Webgoddess Needs A Drink
I've used Audible before and I like em...don't care too much for the costs of the books sometimes, but they do a good number of sales
- Sir Shuping is just sir
Poking around on the app now. Thanks, y'all!
- Derrick
Rodfather made the writer in me cry. "but you don't miss anything" *sob* I hate abridged versions.
- Michael W. May
Yeah, I don't get it. Never tried an abridged version.
- Rodfather
I love Audible. I held a subscription for about a year and a half and accumulated enough big fat books to listen to - still going through them. A tip is to always read the review for the narrator in addition to the book itself. Narrators are the difference between letting your attention wander 15 minutes in AND getting unreasonably freaked out that your ipod is out of charge and now you have to stop listening.

We've been drifting apart for a while; we'd been trying to work things out in counseling, but after getting back from a two week trip on Monday, my wife told me that she was done and couldn't stay married.

Us telling the kids last night that their mom will be moving out (although she will still very much be a part of their lives) was basically the hardest thing ever.

I'm a bit numb, and trying to work through all the arrangements. What comes next is daunting, but for my kids' sake, I'm holding it together.

I'm not sure if I can make it to Burning Man or not (looking for a ticket, it sold out early this year), but how crazy is it that one of the street names this year is "Divorce." Guess I know where I'll be camping if I make it.

One day at a time is exactly right. Trying to put the kids' needs first. Most heartbreaking words I've ever heard from my son: "Daddy, I don't want mommy to move out." All I could say was that I agreed with him fully.

I'm sorry Stephen. While magnitudes less impactful to those around, my 3 year relationship ended this week as well. I relate and wish I could do something for you.

Sorry to hear. It's no comfort now, but trust me - time heals all wounds....but it also wounds all heals....keep strong and don't forget who YOU are. you have been you a lot longer than you have been a husband, boyfriend, whatever....stay true to you, and all will be fine.

Thanks all. Morgan, right now I think of myself as a father first and foremost, so I'm trying to focus on that. And Oracle, condolences for your breakup.

I'm sorry, Stephen. It must be pretty damn painful. Sending you hugs.

Thanks all. Yesterday the kids left for a camping trip with their mom and uncle. Originally I was going to go too, but we decided some separation would be better. So that's when this whole last-minute Burning Man thing came up. Last night I was alone in the house. Thankfully I had packing for the trip to occupy me, but I was a bit down for a while. Today I'm just moving a mile a minute....
