Although historical accounts may lead to a different story, in fact, Congress approved Charles Thomson’s eagle design the same day he submitted it – June 20, 1782. There was never a “great debate amongst the Founding Fathers” as to which would be the national bird.

"So anyway, armed with a large coffee for me and a giant snack bag for them, we piled into the mini-van, picked up Grandma and headed to New York’s Bronx Zoo. On the agenda for the day was a must see look at the monkeys (yeah, you know where this is going) and the giraffes (because we missed them last time) and of course, a ride on the Bug Carousel."

Purchasing a solar panel system upfront is often the thing that stops many people from converting to renewable energy. Today, however, you can lease solar panels, and often save a bundle.

Its hard to believe, but its already time to decorate for the holidays. With Halloween upon us, it will literally be the season of lights from now through December. Solar Halloween lights are a great option for you to use to minimize the fright you would otherwise get from opening your utility bill next month!

Imagine a world without fish?” That’s the question asked by a new documentary called A Sea Change set to air on American TV Sept. 26, on Planet Green at 8 pm EDT. Tune in if you can, because this is important stuff.

OK... ... ... ... Yeah, no-one was out there except some guy who scurried away from all my shouting "HELLO!!!" So I'm back here, looking at your posts--which I assume were made on a computer. ;-p
- James (!?)
James LOL, well at least are you having fun?
- Myrna
Hi, Myrna! Sorry, I was extAFK! Been *outside*--swimming and hanging out with friends. Didn't expect to be here, but glad I am. Still wish I could have gone to the SoCal meet-up. And but so then, see? I do outside stuff! ;-)
- James (!?)
LOL James, yes sounds great! I'm eating and watching this HBO movie Eagle Eye. Lots of commotion, crashes. I'm 'trying' to eat, not sure my healthy food will be digested. Edythe just popped on my screen saying she's at 55 and walking..bags heavy. She must be referring to that SoCal meetup. Where were you meeting?
- Myrna
Dockweiler Beach was where the meet was. Looks like everyone in attendance had a lot of fun. We'll have to make it there next time. Hanging out with some longtime friends is great, too, like we've been doing. Good to have gotten away from "it all", if you can guess what I mean. So how was Eagle Eye?
- James (!?)
I'm no where near Dockweiler Beach, just my intuition.(I live in Brooklyn) Eagle Eye was riveting(Steven Spielberg film). A lot of action. But remember I was multitasking , eating and typing. Did you hear how meet up was?
- Myrna
Ok it was sunny and warm when I posted this. Tomorrow is another day. Don't shut down then. LOL
- Myrna
Yeah, it is nice to take time off from Internet! I took a one month vacation and went to Thailand and Philippines. Came back stronger and feeling better! ;-)

In India we more used to be being on ground than in the cloud;)
- Deepti
Deepti, you mean you're more practical? I think there are those types/characteristics from every country. Did you mean to have a connection with shutting your computer down and going out to 'meet someone' or just getting out from behind your computer. The post is really making fun/laughing or poking at people who sit behind their computers all day and sometimes all night.
- Myrna
Go home.turn on your computer.have fun with your friends.

Went out for a nice 5 kilometer walk around the park today, but it started raining really heavy. Still really enjoyed getting off the PC, need to do it more often! reposting from here: http://friendfeed.com/igorthe...

It's that time again..oh wait, its way too hot and humid in Brooklyn today.

Like the ancient Egyptians did, I have been washing my face every day with baking soda mixed with a little water. It is an excellent exfoliant and it also helps to counteract my oily skin. My forehead had broken out in little bumps this summer and the baking soda seemed to soothe my skin and the bumps began disappearing after less than a week. I would recommend that you do use moisturizer afterwards as baking soda does tend to dry the skin a little.

From the page: "MARRIAGE is meant to help us as individuals become something better. Marriage is intended to stretch us, beyond our comfort zone. Marriage, when committed to - can become a revelation of who we are, and what we are destined to BECOME!"
