thanksgiving prep comes to a close. rillettes, cranberries, brined turkey, pie, stock all done. now, taking a break. (http://www.flickr.com/photos...)
brine and cheddar pie crust cooling, cranberry sauce in the works. next up - rest of the pie assembly, and wrestling a 19.5 lb bird.

oh, i just looked up a recipe - that sounds really good! I just got like 8lbs of pork butt for $0.85/lb (cheap for any type of meat) so it's a vindaloo for din-din and the other half in the freezer. - Christina Pikas
