@meika That would probably work, but I don't think I'd risk it as a night light. I may try one of those little electric cup-warmers though.
@cellodad With the banning of incandescents I'll have to go blackmarket :).
@cellodad The issue is that bulbs have gotten too efficient. The lamp uses the heat to turn. Actually, here's a video. http://www.youtube.com/watch...

@cellodad It takes a normal lightbulb. I think it used to have 20w or 30w bulbs in it, but now a 40w won't make it turn, and is too bright.
@CedarEden Reminds me of the time we tried to use an old easy-bake oven. Those ran off lightbulbs too. Don't work anymore!
@CedarEden A standard 40W frosted. But it's too bright and yet not hot enough to turn the inner column.
@juliedoyaloveme Inner, striped piece spins from heat of the bulb, causing the flames to appear to flicker. Modern bulbs are too efficient.
Anyone know where I might find a dim, inefficient <40w bulb? My childhood nightlamp needs heat to turn. http://twitpic.com/w84x3

@mydatajack Basically, do you cover the metro-Boston, MA area? If so, your coverage map isn't working properly.
Lots of Iran videos from the past few days http://www.youtube.com/user... (PersianWarrior's Channel on YouTube)
@mydatajack 3. Your storefront has a bad SSL cert. That does not exactly instill confidence.
@mydatajack I'm puzzled. 1. the form fails if I press return instead of clicking. 2. Boston, MA yes, but Cambridge & Somerville no?
And worse, my browser doesn't like the cert for the DataJack secure store. Is this for real? Not getting warm fuzzies.
Unlimited 3G data for your laptop for $99+$39.99/month?! http://www.datajack.com Oddly, its coverage map chokes on my zipcode.
@sixdeaftaxis Tks for iPhone headset tip (http://www.facebook.com/permali...). My kids go through their Touch headphones like candy. 4 for the price of 1!
RT @agent0x0: RT @theharmonyguy: This article by Bruce Schneier on security theater is simply incredible - I wish I'd written it: http://www.cnn.com/2009... +1
@agent0x0 I used Orkut when it first started. Then it started to die out here. Now I just occasionally get Brazilian spam connections.

@UltraNurd Might still be % encoded on transport, not sure of RFC. When this was discussed yrs ago, I swear ppl planned to tell user, but…
@UltraNurd It's one more phishing tool in an already large collection. The domain change was necessary, but a charset indicator wld be nice.

@sixdeaftaxis We should get together and write a review. I've tried literally a dozen different commercial clients.
@sixdeaftaxis Sigh. Actually I'm completely fried tonight. I meant twittelator. Do I owe you $3? Sorry.
@sixdeaftaxis It is in the Pro version, I don't know about the non-pro.
@sixdeaftaxis I would go with Twitterrific. Take you a bit longer to come up to speed, but worth the power. Otherwise, yes Tweetie.
@skydiver I'm getting spam to my HARO-only email addr. Submitted report to list service but no response. I suspect they have security issue.
@yannleroux Thank you!
@daddyclaxton No, I reported it to the dev mailing list, a few other ppl said they'd seen it too, and few hrs l8r Twitter said it was fixed.
