That would probably work, but I don't think I'd risk it as a night light. I may try one of those little electric cup-warmers though.

The issue is that bulbs have gotten too efficient. The lamp uses the heat to turn. Actually, here's a video.

It takes a normal lightbulb. I think it used to have 20w or 30w bulbs in it, but now a 40w won't make it turn, and is too bright.

Reminds me of the time we tried to use an old easy-bake oven. Those ran off lightbulbs too. Don't work anymore!

A standard 40W frosted. But it's too bright and yet not hot enough to turn the inner column.

Inner, striped piece spins from heat of the bulb, causing the flames to appear to flicker. Modern bulbs are too efficient.

Anyone know where I might find a dim, inefficient <40w bulb? My childhood nightlamp needs heat to turn.

Basically, do you cover the metro-Boston, MA area? If so, your coverage map isn't working properly.

3. Your storefront has a bad SSL cert. That does not exactly instill confidence.

I'm puzzled. 1. the form fails if I press return instead of clicking. 2. Boston, MA yes, but Cambridge & Somerville no?

And worse, my browser doesn't like the cert for the DataJack secure store. Is this for real? Not getting warm fuzzies.

I used Orkut when it first started. Then it started to die out here. Now I just occasionally get Brazilian spam connections.

It's one more phishing tool in an already large collection. The domain change was necessary, but a charset indicator wld be nice.

I would go with Twitterrific. Take you a bit longer to come up to speed, but worth the power. Otherwise, yes Tweetie.
