"From my perspective, I'm not in favor of Syndicators or HAR's public facing website. I see it as using our listing data to generate revenue to provide brokers and agents we compete with with tools they couldn't otherwise afford. Basically it's akin to providing funding to an arms dealer so they can equip your competitor with better tools to out list, sell, serve, share and solve problems? Why would that be smart business for anyone but the arms dealer and weak competitors? To be clear, I have nothing against the development and deployment of new tools for the masses, that's good business and helps consumers and the real estate industry. I'm not keen on funding and empowering through the use of our/my brokerage listing data.Also, as far as syndication goes, experience, observation and research shows that while most buyer prospects browse the internet to do their research and dreaming, the vast majority are reluctant to contact a stranger for advice, in person property tours, writing a..." - Ken Brand
