Do Antiwar Libertarians Hate the Military? by Laurence M. Vance - http://www.lewrockwell.com/vance...
It is not anti-American to be anti-war. And opposing the increasing use of war, is not the same as "hating the military." Annotated link http://www.diigo.com/bookmar... - Kenneth LeFebvre

Anti-war Stance Is Right, Not Left - http://www.thenewamerican.com/index...

Feedly is changing the way I read news on the Web. - http://www.feedly.com
what do you like better about feedly then friendfeed or others? just curious. I'm trying to cut back, not add more tools, great s they might be. i'm exploding! - washwords
Can I like this 3x. Thanks for a GREAT recommendation, Bwana. My new fave Firefox extension. - Leo Laporte
Wow, even the screensaver function is cool...I might be leaning to feedly and away from greader... - Anthony Farrior
Revisited based on a few 'endorsements' here on FF. Wow. Easy, fast, just cool. - Charlie Anzman
I definitely need to spend more time with it, because on first impression, it's just too much information in one place. - cecily
What are the implications of "no thanks"? Same as "Mark as read"? - Andrew Smith
@cecily if you get a chance, go to the feedly dashboard (through dashboard link at the top right of the screen) and click on the star next to the sources you like the most and see if the what's new page looks any better. The other option is to click on the "cover" icon on the top left on the nav bar and see if that view is more diggestable. If you have specific ideas on how to make the interface more appealing let us know! - Edwin Khodabakchian
@andrew no thanks = mark the article as read + let the feedly recommendation engine know that you did not like this recommendation. This metadata is then used with other criteria to unfluence future recommendations. - Edwin Khodabakchian
@Edwin, thanks, good to know. - Andrew Smith
@Bwana Where is Feedly video, I love Bwana TV more than Scobleizer TV : )) - Erhan
Edwin, one main suggestion - use plain language. Why call it "no thanks" when "mark item as read" is more intuitive (and doesn't require guessing)? - cecily

What do you guys say to the folks who say Feedly crapped all over their Google Reader (adding feeds to it)? - David Risley
It's in this thread David: http://friendfeed.com/e... We asked for a bigger warning since the one there is easily missed, the Feedly guys chime in as to why they did it that way. It doesn't "crap" all over your feed, it does create new folders, but they are easily removed. They are working on an undo procedure as well. - Bwana ☠
@Bwana waiting impatiently : ) - Erhan
Oh my lord. I just checked my Google Reader, it's has 2348279384723 new feeds. Thanks Freedly. - Aaron Myers
want to see converstaion integrated to feedly. then it really rocks. someone out there should get ff and disqus into feedly in an api way. - kosmar
I was sort of suprised that some were vehement about the "crap". I woke up and still am enthralled. - Mathew A. Koeneker
I love it!!! The only feature I'd add is the ability to customize how my emailed items look... - Kenneth LeFebvre
@David Risley fixed. feedly has now a better msg and automated-undo http://edwink.devhd.com/2008... - Edwin Khodabakchian
I'm really liking Feedly as well. We'll see how it goes - Shey, Jamaican of FF
iGoogle has been my home page for well over a year and what I have found is that via widgets its generally there for me to either click on gmail or to go into google reader - the other widgets are generally worth an odd glance but thats about it - I've put feedly as my home page and will see how this works out - but first impressions is a clean easy to use interface even if you have a few hundred feeds to juggle.. - Jican
Feedly is awesome: I had a few hiccups after installation, but I re-installed, and it has been a real help in 2 ways: 1) motivated me to clean up my feeds and sort them into a major category 2)motivates me daily to actually skim through and read the content that is closest to my current interests. well done! - Terri MacMillan
LOVE Feedly. - Fleagle
I want it for chrome. Any chance? - میر «عرفان» موسوی
Not dissing Feedly, but didn't experience anything that made me want to give up Google Reader when I tried Feedly a few months ago. Anyone care to explain why I should try again? - Chris Stevenson
I don't work for them, so I don't see a reason to convince you. Some people like it, some don't. - Fleagle
Hi Chris: feedly tries to provide a magazine like summary of your google reader. Some users only care about productivity and find the magazine like interface a step backward. Some users like it and use it in concert with their google reader. Some people prefer using the magazine like interface only. - Edwin Khodabakchian

I think we should respect the *strict* interpretation of the constitution. It says we shall have the right to “bear arms”. “Arms” is a very vague term. So, either… …stop guessing what they meant by “arms” and let us bear whatever arms we want… guns, bombs, nuclear missiles, F-15 Tomcat fighter jets, shoulder launched rockets, land mines. (This is... - http://fredwilson.vc/post...

lol Kevin - Mark Essel
There is no reason why the founding fathers should have had to envision specific weapons. If that was their intent, they would have enumerated muskets or other firearms. This is NOT what they did. I believe the military sophistication of the enemy (in this case the government) plays a part in determining what arms are. If the weapon gives you a fighting chance - i.e. it's worth it to... more... - Matt Robson
I believe the Second Amendment guarantees my right to keep and bear nuclear missiles and land mines. It is only "clearly absurd" to somebody who thinks people are basically bad, which is an unfortunate symptom of America's Puritanical heritage. - Kenneth LeFebvre
Doesn't Larry Ellison own a Russian MiG? Edit: Google owns a Dornier Alpha light attack jet. - Greg Guitarbuster
The "right to bear arms" means that China, Russia or any other country in the future can't come here and take us over, because the populace is fully equiped to fight back. I don't think that's a bad thing. (And if you believe it will never come to that, look at history.) - Dawn

Who here has been hassled by the police or authorities while out photographing? What happened?
I'm lucky my photography is mainly nature and landscapes. Neither seem to have a problem having their photograph being taken. ;-) - Kol Tregaskes
Me. Tons of times because of my work. I've been detained, even while 7 mos. pregnant. I've been followed, given "warnings" and threatened to have my photos deleted and camera confiscated. - Admiral Anika
That's shocking, Anika! :-( - Kol Tregaskes
I got gently nudged off the street by a policeman when I was taking this picture http://friendfeed.com/e... but I think he was concerned that I might get trampled -- not trying to harass me. - Brian Sullivan
I think some of it is race-based. My husband has never had the same problems I have. There are some areas of SoCal were I have to beg the client to send me photos because I know the grief I'll get is not worth it. - Admiral Anika

What of the implications of cell cameras that upload to the net, Youtube, etc. Can't confiscate that! - Alan Wilensky from twhirl
Alan, they've tried. When I get harrassed, I start recording. I had one cop tell me that only residents of the city were allowed to take pictures there. When I indicated that the "city" was merely a neighborhood in Los Angeles, of which I am a resident, he started getting in my face yelling at me. I started recording video on my phone, which he didn't notice for 6 min. while yelling at me, then he told me to delete or he was confiscating my phone. I posted it online, then deleted it. :) - Admiral Anika
Shouldn't the ACLU be stepping in..? - Kenneth LeFebvre
I got yelled at by the "security" on the FOX lot in LA. Nothing happened and there wasn't anything that they could do since it was the last day of the writer's strike and the place was a ghost town. So they "never saw me." - ::Kristen::

wayyy too many times. - Thomas Hawk
Twice. Once by a gentleman in an unmarked black car with lots of police (FBI?) surveillance equipment inside, near the jetport at Elizabeth, NJ, who kindly told me to put the camera away. Second time at about midnight (was taking long exposures) in our town center, which once I explained what i was doing, was told that I was fine doing what I was, but may be questioned by another passing officer, as they were looking for a robbery suspect in the area...needless to say I packed up and went home. ;-) - cmiper

I have never been hassled but I have done the hassling of people taking pictures of things they couldn't for security reasons. - Colide81 (James)
When I was in Moscow I went sight-seeing around the city, at the FSB(KGB) Headquarters at Lubyanka, I was snappin' some pics, and two guys in trenchcoats came from either side out of nowhere pointing at my camera and saying "nyet" and trying to take it. I played the dumb tourist card, they didn't speak english, and when they stopped looking I scurried off into the Metro. I kind of knew what I was doing wasn't really the best idea, but it was fun. - Will Higgins™
Will, hope you got some good shots though? :-) - Kol Tregaskes
Will: HAHA. Post those pics, please. - Roberto Bonini
Will, yes please. :-) - Kol Tregaskes
Once for taking a picture at the hospital during a bomb scare evacuation. I had a digital camera and they thought I might be a reporter. I told them it was just a shot for my kid to see but they made me delete it because there were people in the shot obviously not looking too well cared for at the moment. "Detained" by US military intelligence, cameras confiscated, film processed by FBI with frames cut out & retained. Held by customs on Algerian-Tunisian Sahara Desert border for 6 hours; released on condition of providing border guards a ride into the nearest town, 150 miles. Major sidewalk screaming match with Director of Frick Museum, NYC, who physically blocked my WWD shoot, saying the museum was private property. Had NYC permit, publisher backed me up. Sean, thank you for your interest in Real Views. Checking out Friendfeed for the first time today, at least to any extent. Is there a practical way I can put proposed chunks of book text up here and get criticism? Does the FF strcuture lend itself to that?
