#blog: "...the air has gone out of the climate-change movement" http://www.kennethhynek.net/2010... #climaquiddick #climagate #climategate
@BibleAlsoSays Truth is what it is; what it is NOT is a straw poll.
@BibleAlsoSays Let 'em think I'm nuts. I'm not ultimately answerable to random strangers on the Intertubes, so what does it matter?
@BibleAlsoSays Occasionally, I glean some insights, from atheists and evangelicals alike. But for the most part, it's just good clean fun.
@BibleAlsoSays And if YOU studied history and theology properly, you'd know that the idea of ONE CHRISTIANITY...
@BibleAlsoSays ...but the Church, being large, contains multitudes also. It's both/and, not either/or. You need to free your thinking.
@BibleAlsoSays ...yet I don't see you lambasting atheism because various dictators have attempted to purge religion from their nations.
@BibleAlsoSays Atheists and evangelicals are really, in a lot of ways, two sides of the same coin. At least in my experience.
@BibleAlsoSays Anyhow, unless you have an answer for me regarding those atheist regimes, don't bother Tweeting me again; I'm too busy today.
@BibleAlsoSays Aye, there's been differences and wars. What does that prove? Secular/explicitly atheistic regimes have murdered millions too
@BibleAlsoSays Kinda like how I also don't care what atheists think, not being one myself. I engage atheists for sport, principally.
@BibleAlsoSays In fact, you probably can't even bring yourself to admit that atheism played a role in such massacres.
@BibleAlsoSays And again, I've studied Church history at some length, from internal and external sources. It changes nothing.
@BibleAlsoSays Whereas I can freely admit the Crusades, Inquisitions, schisms, heresies, and all the rest.
@BibleAlsoSays ...is both something the Church teaches, and something she rejects. There is one Lord, one Faith, and one Baptism...
@BibleAlsoSays I don't claim to be a TRUE CHRISTIAN; I just don't really care what the other sects think, because I'm not one of 'em.
@BibleAlsoSays Actually, Catholicism has remained fairly constant. Other Christian sects have not been so lucky, but they're not my concern.
@BibleAlsoSays As to why I returned to the Church, I've given you my reasons. If you presume to know my heart better than me, you're a fool.
@BibleAlsoSays ...though it will never become predominant. It has nothing new to argue that was not already argued centuries ago.
@BibleAlsoSays ...but in the end, truth piled upon truth, intrinsic and extrinsic alike, drove me back to the Church.
@BibleAlsoSays And yes, I've studied the Church from the outside as well. Almost became an atheist, even. Or maybe some kind of weak deist..
@BibleAlsoSays I quote disagree; this secular fad will fade away and give rise to new forms of paganism.
@BibleAlsoSays The human being is disposed to belief, and will continue to seek thereafter. Atheism will always be with us...
@BibleAlsoSays My faith derives from a process of rational inquiry, and science plays a part. Do not assume science supports your position.
@BibleAlsoSays Still proves nothing, though..
@BibleAlsoSays ...unless you'd also care to assert that it proves something when D'Souza mops the floor with Hitchens.
@BibleAlsoSays IOW, it's just a debate, and we lost the round. We'll lose others, win others. The battle isn't the war, though.
