Hi Kerry. I have applied for the 2009 BT Professional Services scheme and am looking forward to my assessment centre next week. Do you have any advice/tips for a successful day? Many Thanks, John.
- John
Hi John, you are already doing my 1st piece of advice...search the BT careers website! I would suggest looking at the BT Values and think about how you have demonstrated these in any work experience you have already had. Think about examples you can use to back up things you say, e.g. 'i have great attention to detail' - give an example! Be customer focused, be yourself and try and enjoy the day - it will pass in a flash!! Good Luck!! Kerry

Hi Kerry, I have also applied for the 2009 BT Professional Services and I will have the interview over the phone? Can you advice me what sort of questions do they ask and how I can prepare for the phone interview? I have digested BT careers website and have a very good idea about BT as an organization. However, what other things do you suggest I should prepare or be aware of for the phone interview? Thanks in advance. Suzanne

Hi Suzanne - a good understanding of BT is important. It seems such a long time ago that I had my phone interview! Must be getting old!! :) As far as I can remember I would suggest thinking about examples which demonstrate your strengths, the BT Values etc. Back up what you say and that will help loads - doesnt always have to be work examples, could be something you have done in uni or...

Hey Michael! I'm sorry but I don't have experience of the Business or Corporate Sales role, so can't tell you firsthand. Also, I believe there are a number of different graduate roles within professional services. However - this is a great question for your interview in the assessment centre - when they ask if you have any Q's at the end - you will have! Good Luck withyour assessment centre! Kerry

Hi Kerry, I have a telephone interview soon and was just wondering as the Professional Services and Customer Experience scheme is really varied, am I supposed to know at this stage whether I would prefer to be in a rotational or fixed role, in professional services or customer experience? Thanks for answering the graduate scheme queries, they have been really helpful!
