I grew up on pepsi .. when I was a wee lad .. my dad and granddad drank pepsi and whisky ... I was never allowed very much .. but what I had I loved .. still do
- johnpiercy
I only have a cola about once a month (or less, more recently), but my preference is Diet Coke.
- Rochelle
i'm trying to get off all fizzy drinks completely....no fieasy task...
- Zee.
So are they all going to attack each other soon? Anyone? Anyone?
- Nate Pilling
from twhirl
LOL. I never drink any kind of soda, pop, fizzy drinks whatever you call them.
- Ian May
I prefer the ones on the left, actually. Beautiful font design. Recent ones seem too spare and cold; I expect the next-to-last to appear in a vending machine from 2001: A Space Odyssey.
- Brent Newhall
Favorite design is the first bottle cap, where it's tilted in one direction. Still the quintessential Pepsi logo to me.
- FFing Enigma (aka Tina)
I didn't know it had changed so much throughout the years.
- Adriana
Siddarth: I wished they would put in high fructose corn syrup in the pepsi/coke, instead of regular sugar here in Europe. It's much more healthier.

I always remember Waterworld, that Kevin Costner bomb.
- Rolf Schewe
Not on this list but has to be the most expensive bad movie ever made.
- Rolf Schewe
actually waterworld should be at #3.
- Carlos Ayala
@rolfschewe Waterworld actually made a nice profit at the end of the day. It sure didn't help Costner's career but it didn't tank it either (pun intended.)

The Calendar view is pretty and creative, but not very easy to read.
- Jansen Lu
Oh crap, more evidence that my online life is an absolute time suck! now it's all displayed out for me in a nice graphical calendar format... genius! let me kiss the fool who created this ...augh!
- Susan Beebe
That is freakin cool, calendar view is a cool way to look back at your online life several years ago... or even a few month ago, I dig it.
- Brian Carter
I liked this for an alternative way to present aggregation when it first came out but then forgot all about it!. Calendar thing is a very nice idea
- David Miller
I think it would be wise to have FF detecting which tweet is a reply to which. Now that Twitter has better reply tracking. Wonder if this is part of their API yet.
- Vijayendra (V-Mo) Mohanty
I always manually delete mine ... if I remember.
- Timothy Griffin
@Timothy - yeah, tried that but just thought it shouldn't be this way
- Zee.
Hmm, that shouldn't be too difficult to fix, a bit of PHP or summat could pump out a filtered twitter feed. Got some spare server space?
- Dave Pook
sure, but a pain no? And what would i need to insert into twitter field here?
- Zee.
I guess it would have to come as a normal RSS feed which means you would loose the additional Twit reply functionality, prolly not worth doing.
- Dave Pook
..... but then again, a twitter feed filter service could be useful for more than FF :)
- Dave Pook
its a nice day, need a walk and I'm behind on my accounts and got some copywriting to do etc, but maybe this evening I will have a play :D My only forray into Twitter development was this http://hootsms.com which didn't really take off, would be good to recoup some of the time spent delving into Twitter for summat else :)
- Dave Pook
that looks really interesting Dave! And about investing some time into this - I would be absolutely delighted if you could but of course, no obligation
- Zee.
Very good, it works. search.twitter.com doesn't seem to have the appropriate operator for the desired result. :(
- Kevykev
looks like theres no need for coding anything then! Although theres a still a case for making a simple Twitter service, but would anyone use it?
- Dave Pook
thank u thank u thank u, everyone should be doing this.
- adolfo foronda
Zee, I did the same and follow people on Twitter separately
- Sally Church
Robert: You have me chuckling all ready this morning. Glad to hear that you are taking all of this in stride. :)

Robert Scoble is administering some tough love to Friendfeed. Friendfeed desperately needs new powerful tools for managing and reducing noise. Praising Friendfeed while not discussing its problems and limitations is doing Friendfeed no favors.
- Sean McBride
Naa Sean, I think we have everything we need now to filter noise. We just need more people, more variety and ways to show members who are signed up but don't really visit the site all that much...exactly how to use it.
- Zee.
Niki - I have a long list of ranking algorithms I would like to see added to Friendfeed and which I will post on the Web in a day or two. Bottom line: which new items on Friendfeed are most relevant to me and my interests? There are dozens of ways to answer that question which Friendfeed is not exploiting.
- Sean McBride
Zee -- I strongly disagree. I can clearly see many ways to radically amp up the ability of social media software to improve the quality of signal to noise. We've barely scratched the surface. You need to try to envision the day when a program like Friendfeed is managing the social communications of every human being on the planet.
- Sean McBride
I'm subrscribing to you Sean, so I can see when you'll post it. My point is that "noise" is what makes FF great to me. But really, I'll wait and see what you write about it )
- Niki Costantini
lets get close to that first Sean - we're barely out of Silicon Valley.
- Zee.
Sean? Have you used "search", the abundance of filtering methods, and grouping? - just asking.
- Mona Nomura
I agree with Zee.. didn't see you comment earlier Zee
- Niki Costantini
By the way, at the moment I manage all my Friendfeed activity through Google Reader.
- Sean McBride
Mona -- not only do I use search intensively, but I use Google Reader to manage Friendfeed search feeds -- it's quite a powerful technique for getting a handle on Friendfeed noise.
- Sean McBride
I think the biggest omission at this point is the lack of keyword filtering. In my case, this would allow me to subscribe to more people while easily avoiding the political noise.
- Rob Diana
The only filter I'd really need is a language filter...
- Niki Costantini
Would like keyword filtering too :-)
- Sally Church
I'd also like to be able to hide by topic/keyword, rather than by person/their friends/post type
- Neil Saunders
this comment stream made no sense until I remembered I can't see Sean McB's posts!
- Slippy "WildBeard" Lane
Slippy and I have very different approaches to the world: I pay special attention to the people who most strongly disagree with me because I like to test my beliefs against the best arguments that can be thrown against them. In dialectic lies truth. I never hestitate to discard a wrong belief or exchange a weaker belief for a better grounded belief. It's curious, though: for every block from a Slippy Lane or Soulhuntre or Jay Tannenbaum I usually receive five new followers.
- Sean McBride
Which Friendfeed users are most like me? Which new posts from the users who are most like me are receiving the most attention? Which posts from this set of posts do I not want to see?
- Sean McBride
What Friendfeed developers need to focus on, in my opinion: impact analysis, personal profiling, ranking by interestingness, recommender systems, similarity ranking, statistical machine learning.
- Sean McBride
@Sean McBride - Message from slippy lane - "In your defense, Sean, you do have a lot to say that is of interest, it's just that your behaviour when somebody challenges you in any way results in people like me feeling very insulted and finding it a lot more sensible to block you than continue being drawn in to your arguments. I bear you no animosity. Also, feel free to hit me up: slippy dot lane at gmail"
