Is Google trying to make up for lost time. I don't see this as an admission of failure, per se, but they're definitely looking for some big guns to take on the elephant in the room (Facebook). Their own social network, Orkut, has been a dismal failure. We'll see if they find a way to breath new life into that or come up with something new and novel. Either way, I don't think Facebook should remain to complacent. - Kevin Arth
