A few weeks ago it hit me…I’ve been hiding. I haven’t been out to many tech events lately, am much more comfortable at home, and am being selective in the people I’m hanging out with. This surprises me as I score extremely extraverted on Myers-Briggs (I’m an ENTP) and have been a social butterfly for [...]

As 2009 came to a close, I was reminded that it was time to start thinking about my #themeword for the new year. I then asked myself, “Why should I do this again. I don’t feel like I really gave 2009’s #themeword, CHANGE, a good shot.” But the more I thought about it, the more [...]

This was a great theme word for 2009, but is one I’ll continue to work on. Post on my 2010 #Themeword coming soon… We got a new President. I remember getting to work early to watch this historic moment…while sharing breakfast pastries with colleagues. I got my first frieNDA thanks to @eston and @chrisabad. @ericaogrady says it well [...]

November usually brings a wave on anticipation for the upcoming season, but for some reason, it’s hard for me to believe it’s really November. The warmth of the California sun, and the lack of snow, is messing with my head! Christmas is my favorite holiday. I love giving gifts, sitting in the glow of the lights [...]

One thing I love about living in San Francisco is that I get to host friends at my place who are coming for a visit. Like right now, @emmapersky is on Holiday from the UK and is making a trek through North America over the next week or so. As we were making arrangements around [...]

As I said in my previous post, this is my third year for NaBloPoMo, but my first year doing so publicly. The past 2 years I’ve done NaBloPoMo on my private blog that only a handful of people know about. I’ve been asked why I have an anonymous blog, especially now that I have this blog. [...]

Welcome to the wonderful world of NaBloPo. What’s that? Well, November is National Blog Posting Month, or NaBloPoMo for short. What does that mean? It’s a time to commit to blogging at least once a day for the each day in November. Why do it? For me, it’s a way to encourage me to not only make [...]

I love making lists. I love crossing things off of my lists. But this is one list I hope I’ll never be finished with: Take better care of myself…physically, emotionally, mentally. Physically–I’ll definitely need some good stress relief with the new job. I live in an area where I can walk the Embarcadero every day, have a workout [...]

I’ve recently been thinking about what I enjoy and what my dream job would look like. If you know me, you know that I only want to do things I am passionate about. I love producing events and thinking of ways to add “special sauce” so they stand out from others. I’ve also learned from [...]

If I’ve ever asked you “What do you do?”, consider yourself part of my social experiment. Often, people respond with their job. Wait a minute…I didn’t ask, “What do you do for work?” or “What do you do to make money?” So why do people respond that way? Are we so defined by what we [...]

I’ve been thinking a lot about trust lately as well and immediately favorited this quote from @thomasknoll when I saw it. There is so much to be said about trust…how it’s built, how it’s broken and how one person can screw it up for many others. I’m a very trusting person. I like to trust that [...]

Amazing video from @equalman (Erik Qualman) and Socialnomics.com. Looking forward to more from Erik. **The following was posted on August 11, 2009 on the Socialnomics site as Statistics Show Social Media is Bigger Than You Think. Wow– Stats from Video (sources listed below by corresponding #) By 2010 Gen Y will outnumber Baby Boomers….96% of them have joined [...]

If you know me, you know that Twitter is a part of my life. I often “favorite” tweets so I can go back to them later. The only problem is that Twitter doesn’t make this easy to do. Instead, I’m going to start posting Twitter Thoughts. Depending on how I’m feeling and what I’m thinking, [...]

Put it back in place and then press down firmly until you feel the key/button click.

There are little plastic jaws that I try to engage, but they won't stick.

How m*ny people use the letter * *nyw*ys?
- Karen Hartline
Karen - I can here you laughing from here! I am on another laptop thank goodness...:(
- Liza
F-ck an AAAAAAAAAAAAa - ha, my jokes make me laugh.
- Liza
When I had to fix a similar problem on a philips after the cat had terminated several letters, I found a tiny clip (or something) on the underside which appeared to engage with the small metal bits. like the ones in the picture.
- Kevin J Hatton
Just place the key where it should be then push down hard, it should just clip back into place.
- Betsy Dennis
Kevin - exactly, but my clip/lever is plastic, so it literally seems like it is bent out of shape. Junk!
- Liza
Betsy - no such luck. Little lever has to click in, too. I am about to throw it out my window.

I love a good deal just as much as the next person, but the current airline price wars is getting REDONKULOUS! Please note that I’ve pulled information from each of their sites. I am in NO WAY responsible if prices change. My suggestion, book ASAP so you get the best deal they have to offer. Wondering which [...]

At the risk of having to wear a disguise for the rest of my life due to the plethora of men who will come knocking on my door*, I feel the need to get this out of my head. If you know me, you know that I’m pretty headstrong and I know what I want. I [...]

I’ve always been the girl who is ‘one of the guys,’ which I’m sure is extremely hard to believe seeing as I’m a little prissy. But in high school, I hung out with 5 guys…in college, I was always the girl hanging out at the Fraternity houses. I attribute part of this to the fact [...]

It is officially Day 1 of the Whuffaoke or Bust tour. No, I didn’t just sneeze. Whuffaoke is a 2+ week Karaoke Across America tour… in a winnebago… stopping in 13 cities… with 5 people (and 1 adorable pug!)… being live streamed. Yes, I’m serious! And just to clarify…I’m one of those 5 people. My dear friend, Tara Hunt, is moving to [...]

I’ll be the first to admit how much I love social media. It has allowed me to connect with people from all over the world and I’ve met some of my best friends due to the power of social media. However, when it comes to dating relationships, I’m on the fence. Think about it, there are [...]

I can’t express how much I <3 Twitter. It’s been a part of my life before @aplusk and @oprah even knew about it. I originally used it to keep up with people I had not yet met. Yes, a little stalkerish back then, but now…totally acceptable! I’ve had some very interesting conversations lately with people about [...]

I can feel it deep down inside and it’s struggling to get out. Trying to dig deep…cause it’s barely within my reach. But once I reach it, I’m going to hold on for dear life and not let go. Clear away the clouds and let’s get out of this funk, shall we? [...]

This is one of the questions we ask most often. I know I’m asked this very question all the time, yet don’t know how to answer it sometimes. Why is this such a difficult question for me to answer? Maybe it’s because I don’t know what I want to do. This is something that causes [...]

I love lazy Sunday mornings. There’s just something about Sunday mornings that are so inviting. Right now, I’m lying in bed, on the computer, creating a new account for Google Reader and listening to my Sunday Morning playlist. Would only be better with a cup of coffee by my side, but don’t want to wake [...]

Thank goodness for Twitter trends showing up right there on my Twitter stream homepage. Otherwise, I may never have heard about Susan Boyle. OK, that’s not entirely true as many people NOT on Twitter know who she is. Let me help educate the masses. THIS is Susan Boyle: *Confession–I just stopped to watch this video AGAIN. Mostly [...]

I’m not a photographer. The camera I have cost $150 and I barely use it. Partially because it intimidates me. I don’t know how to use it and think I take horrible photos. However, a few weeks ago, our company took us offsite for 2 days and we had a brief lesson from Jerry Courvoisier [...]

How'd you get the message . . .My first crush doesn't know he was my first crush . . .Did you ever tell him?
- Cecilia Pineda Feret
I looked back at my 'first kiss' profile and saw he was friends with my 'first cursh'. We all went to High School together, but I thought it was ironic that my first kiss had two friends on FB...me and my first crush. =)
- Karen Hartline
Hmmmm . . ."But does the crush know, or is it a secret you will take to your grave," she asked earnestly.
