And he gave this country 8 of the best years that we've ever seen. I don't care who was sucking him off under the desk. He showed up to work everyday and got shit done. He'd probably still be President today if it were allowed. - ::Kristen::
it groups you with individuals who liked the same thing as you.. whether they are following you or a friend of a person you subscribed too.. - Kyle Lacy
The true beauty of FriendFeed is the like function.. it pools groups of people together based on preferences. imho (Mona) - Kyle Lacy
assuming he's talking about friendfeed - it's a great bookmarker. - Zee at WeDoCreative
In regards to FF, quite often a comment is made about a post that is more valuable or valid than the post itself. I do not know how specifically this would be intergrated into the framework but there are just some great comments that end up making the post worthwhile. - John Worthington
for those people who are not near a keyboard or don't want to muddle with the itty-bitty keys on a phone, like is a simple way of showing acknowledgment - Pete Delucchi
From an algorithmic standpoint, it would another layer to the 'floating' up system FF uses. A post with a lot of well received comments should float higher than a post with neutrally rated comments, with all other factors remaining equal. Doing this would help fuel positive/productive/enjoyable conversation. - Stupid Blogger (aka Tina)
yes but how is that value communicated outside of FF - is there a way to get notified when people respond to a comment, whether by liking it or actually responding with a comment - Sean Scott
Sean: FF gets into Google. But why must value exist outside? You must have missed that I put FF on my blog at http://scobleizer.com -- that's one way. - Robert Scoble
+1 Robert. Great idea. I need to do that. - Kyle Lacy
Robert: i love to derive value out of FF outside of FF because its not my primary interface when it comes to my social graph. I do like the fact that they have begun to think about distribution via their embeddable blog widget - Sean Scott
some interesting art work from fred - Gregory Lent
I've yet to run into the Model Brad Nickel, but did intentionally become friends with every Brad Nickel on Facebook. Kind of fun - Brad Nickel
Model Brad Nickel is edging up on my Google ranking and ignored me on FB... sigh. - Brad Nickel
it will all get cleared up when we get our unique googlename ... a mix of real ID and open ID so that mixups like this won't happen anymore. and oh yes, you WILL have a google account. the database in the cloud insists. comments powered by disqus. - Gregory Lent
there is a john conroy that beats me on google, but he was a baron or something and died in 18xx. I just can't compete with that. - john conroy
I wondered if you knew him. And his work? Does it appeal to you? Curious... - terra210
But he doesn't have @FredWilson ;~) {though I do wonder if he's on Twitter. It could be ingenious for him. He could tweet as he progresses through a piece. And receive views. More importantly, he could listen, because none of us, not even the artists, are every mind. - Ed Shaz/NextInstinct
Wow, that's neat! Picture?! did he know about you?? and the google placement? - Susan Beebe
I'm battling with a popular and gossip friendly cricketer for top google spot. Lost it a few months ago to an article 'bout him breaking up with an alleged girlfriend. Sigh. - Yuvi
I suppose judging by the 23 seconds ago you posted this, not long! - Joe Dawson
if you cross your eyes the netting looks like gills of fail. - Josh Lowensohn

@Joe -- Been down a while I think. I was adjusting my settings in brightkite maybe half an hour ago and it said it couldn't connect with my Twitter account. I just cruised the "everyone" feed and the last Twitter entry I saw was 45 minutes ago ... - Kevin Hessel
I think Twitter might be transitioning to a new layout. They did a test run @ 5pm Central Time today. I encountered issues using IE7. The new interface was up for maybe 15 minutes & garnered quite a reaction. - Cindy Stanford ~ hci via fftogo

Per my conversations on the mailing lists, I really don't think Twitter has a QA or Staging environment. In fact, no one defended themselves when I suggested they might be developing on production servers. - Jesse Stay via twhirl

Bitchfeed. I can think of SOOO many reasons why it won't catch on! :-) - Slippy Lane
Am I the only person who wants to see this? Just for the "look how silly this sounds" potential. - Rob Diana
"See you next week when the topic of discussion will no doubt be how awesome FriendFeed was during the iPhone 3G launch. Followed the next day by how overhyped the iPhone 3G is on FriendFeed." HA! :) - Yolanda
It's amazing the kind of crap that we humans can publish sometimes. - Robert Scoble
Never believe anything you hear, and only half of what you see. A lie can get told on the news, by the president (happens all the time), anywhere. - The Kid
MS-bashing is a play to the bleachers. Easy. I'm surprised how much that MS provides is simply taken for granted. - Sprague D
I expect this kind of fallacious crap from a blog, not from the New York Times. But Randall Stross seems to be on some kind of tear, apparently suffering from Dvorak Syndrome. It's almost guaranteed that when someone trashes an operating system by calling it "bloated" -- instead of criticizing performance, compatibility, reliability, security, etc. -- that they don't know jack shit. And clearly he has a short memory when it came to the DISASTER that was OS X 10.0. - Karim
maybe a 302 temp redirect to friendfeed, people need to communicate what do u know - Dobromir Hadzhiev via twhirl
Now if someone hacked the Something is Wrong page to redirect to FF, that would be something - Kevin Bondelli
That page should just re-direct users to FriendFeed automatically....save me a click! - Susan Beebe

some kind of homeostatic equilibrium. if they're down, they make gazillions and buy new servers. then they're up and continue to grow until the new downtime... - Benedikt Koehler
