"I wanted to create this list, because there are times when I struggle choosing my design colors - for me it’s not always easy task to just play with the colors and choose the right ones - of course, there are few favorite colors for everybody, but finding new great color combinations are not so easy task. That’s why there a lot of helpful resources to ease this task, and I am here to show You those!
Hopefully this will help You to create new designs and the process will become a little easier." - Michael Fidler

""Social networks, for me, are one-way streets. I try to make my voice heard above the chatter about the latest service, the newest shiny gadget. But my input is of little value. They know I’m not one of them. I’m an interested voyeur, a watcher, a listener. I’m a simple techno-priest among the internet gods. My understanding is far below theirs."
You have stated perfectly here what I've often thought of my own participation in these forums and networks. Although, I think I'm even further removed from things. There's nothing wrong with hanging out on the sidelines, though. Heck, the guys on a bench who never play in the game still get paid for sitting on the sidelines with a clipboard, right? :-D" - Kirasha
A writer friend of my mum's once said she believed that all creative people were creative in more than one field. It would only make sense we utilize that, wouldn't it? This looks like a good little series to get started with. - Kirasha

Though I can already anticipate several lashings out about how wrong this is, there is a lot of sense in this article if one takes the time to read it and ponder what he's *actually* saying.
We are constantly looking backwards and laying blame at the current descendents of people who did no harm to us directly, despite whatever ills they committed against ancestors long dead before we were born. Shouldn't we stop blaming each other and apologizing for the mistakes of the past and move forward together to make the present and future a place where those mistakes cannot be repeated? - Kirasha
"Spokeo has revamped, making itself a premium play, and has flipped the data on its head, being less about tracking friends, and instead, tailoring it toward HR professionals who want to do some detective work on potential hires. (See: www.spokeo.com/hr)
This new model actually falls further into what people often called "Spook-eo", as the service can dredge up items you might have thought had been long since tucked away in the Web's archives." - Paul Buchheit
What's the difference between the "free" and "premium" results? It looks like they arbitrarily put people in one group or the other (April is free, Ana is premium). - Paul Buchheit
@Paul, my guess is that it is arbitrary. April's not tagged any differently than is Ana. It was the first time I'd logged in in some time, so it retrieved my user data, picked a few that I was "allowed" to see for free, and hid the rest. - Louis Gray
Seems like they had a narrow opinion of what Web 2.0 is, hmm? - Sarah Perez
Spokeo puts out another narrow view of Web 2.0... - Hutch Carpenter
Their measure of Web 2.0 = Free + Ads. That seems narrow to me. - Louis Gray
@louis, I liked your article on microblogging. I enjoyed it--lots of good points. - Terence Washington
I thought it was interesting when I tried it a few months ago but this doesn't appeal at all now. :-( Good, one less service to worry about. :-) - Kol Tregaskes
I could have sworn that Spokeo changed their name somewhere in there, didn't they? I never could get anywhere with that thing. - deusdiabolus
The famous 4 volume saga "Otherland" is under development as MMORPG...the virtual world Tad Williams created will let you be whatever you want to be (if you make it...) - Gaby Benkwitz ☼

Funny, I've thought several times in the last year or so that we're seeing the beginnings of what could be the path to an Otherland reality some day. Will definitely have to keep an eye on this game development! - Kirasha
I'd like to see some studies of "non-early adopters". I'm always being told that "most people" - whoever they are - don't do this, don't do that, don't click "More", don't explore links, stick with what they know, haven't heard of (insert web2.0 service here). Like many people, I feel that it's true but without any evidence except my own experience. - Neil Saunders
Neil, Social Median wouldn't be in the position to do that, but you're right, more mainstream knowledge is needed. Strands has some interesting plans for Operation Mainstream, and we'll be watching that close. - Louis Gray
A couple eps have more giant bugs and creepy crawlies than I care for, but over all it's a highly entertaining story that keeps my curiosity up. - Kirasha
