"Thanks Matty! Well, it's not my theory. I'm just having a little fun with it. It's Malcolm Gladwell's argument in "Outliers." For the most part, I also don't believe innate ability is that important. I tend to think people who do something a lot, get extremely good at it. So the kid who does cartwheels has been probably been jumping around her entire life. Singing is different because we're born with a certain instrument and certain physical traits -- height, build, etc -- are essential for some sports. Just my thoughts and I'm no expert. For further reading, read Outliers or Talent is Overrated, which is more about using these theories for competition in business. The 10,000 hour theory has been around a while, but as far as I'm aware, the first book it appeared in was Daniel Levitin's "Your Brain on Music." http://tinyurl.com/csxe7x"

"You're so vicious and self-impressed it's obvious you’re a hack. Here's some non-sarcasm for you: stick your Q factor up your tanned ass."

"And your apparent lack of a sense of humor is very disappointing. You're like a colour-blind person preaching to me about my clashing palette."

"Hi Nate, and thanks for the kind words. There are no real laptops in the short -- they're all handmade props. (The only real prop is the iPhone and it had a stunt double.) It did cost some money and take some time to make those things, but it was nothing compared to using real hardware. I edited it in Final Cut Pro and did some compositing (the love ballad vignettes, the thrown iPhone, the flying CDs) in After Effects. More on that topic over here if you're interested: http://www.goodiebag.tv/openmov......"

"Thanks Wade. Yeah, I had 11k to make this, yet everyone was sadly underpaid. It was my first time shooting like a real director, rather than just doing everything myself."

"Hey, could someone with an iPod or iPhone try to sync up "Macs vs. PCs"? I replaced that video (so you'll need to download it again). If it worked, I'll replace the rest of the videos. Merci!"

"Actually, I'm hearing this from elsewhere too. If any of you alpha geeks can see what the issue is, please let me know. I'm looking into the problem now and aim to have it resolved as soon as possible."

"First of all, I don't think you know what you're talking about. (There are no free fonts, no textures, and no motion graphics except for the titles.) Secondly, motion graphics is part of what I do. You don't like it, go watch somebody else's videos."
