On the ground in Oakland. Good to be back to the bay area!
Impressed with the usability of Diigo. I had never heard of it, but taught my 65-year-old father to use it in 10 minutes. Nice job!
Have settled in on teaching my dad Diigo for sharing links with the rest of his team. I might even start using it myself!
Showing my dad the wonders of modern social media: RSS, Facebook, Twitter, Oh My!
@daveoflynn this is what you get for being in Australia, and them not having good content publication services.
In addition, #thankfulfor UK immigration being reasonable and rational and letting me and the OpenGamma team live and work in London!

My brother's home, owing to the presence of my niece and nephew, is completely child-proof. Makes finding outlets to charge stuff a chore.
@monkchips ORD as an airport is fine when the weather holds up. And trust me, I have enough investors money for now. Not seeking more!
Getting on my first long-haul flight in a year (Chicago and then San Francisco). I hate flying.
.@DabsDotCom You sacked my account rep about 10 minutes after I placed a phone order, didn't tell me, and the order just sat there a month.
Advice to checkout ebuyer.com from @fidothe and @bnastic . Thanks for the pointer, I'll try an order from them!
Looking for a replacement for Dabs/BTBusiness Direct for UK-based corporate tech orders (beyond what AMZN can supply). Help?
@daveoflynn safari 4 is definitely better, but hunt down chrome. Has become my default mac browser, even pre-release.
@auxbuss It's really more that the cats love it. I'm sure if I was able to get pata negra on a regular basis they'd devour that as well!
@gobansaor I think it's definitely that my cats are city slickers. Neither one of them gets to leave the flat so I spoil them with jamon.
My cats love Serrano ham.
TechCrunch EU's Secret VC lays into European entrepreneurs for not working enough. http://eu.techcrunch.com/2009... Actually, I kinda agree.
The OpenGamma team grows again! Have had an offer extended by another excellent technical candidate. Can't wait to have him on board!
[blog] More Adventures in Unethical Recruiting: http://kirkwylie.blogspot.com/2009... I love it when recruiters lie to try to get business.
@edyavno Definitely. I've run into many an unethical recruiter, which is why we're so picky with the ones that we're willing to employ!
@tablewhite Gets even better. Recruiter just emailed me the candidate's CV with the name blacked out. Hah!

.@gobansaor APL is a work of serious, twisted genius. Any programming language you need special fonts to code in is a thing of warped beauty
Just issued an offer to an excellent candidate for the technology team at OpenGamma. I LOVE finding and being able to hire top talent.
.@t0rx they're off the case anyway. First lesson with google functionality: if you're not paying them, the service is a bit rubbish.
