"Tangelele Philip wa emirite'. (Ask your mum what it means if you don't know, or email me.(I think I spelled it right-?)) I disagree that it's possible to run all Microsoft apps in Wine at full efficiency. I've already tried Ubuntu, but I have to say that I prefer Windows. If you have issues with the comment box then email Disqus. :)"

"I had my pre-ordered Windows 7 Home Premium delivered on 23rd October. I'd built a new computer back in March and had run the 64-bit beta and RC on it. When my new 1TB HD arrived shortly afterwards I installed it as the primary drive and installed the RTM 64-bit version on it. I'm using it on that computer in tandem with XP 32-bit on another box. I built the 7 box as if I were building for Vista, using an AMD Phenom 3-core CPU, and, initially, 4 GBs RAM, which I later increased to 8GBs. 7 RC (64-bit) once used over 7GB during a huge file-transfer of about 35GBs of data, otherwise the memory usage has never gone much above 3GBs. To be honest I see a few similarities to, or maybe attempted facsimilies of, Ubuntu Linux, such as the Users folder replacing Documents and Settings, and the enhanced security settings, which somehow have a Linux-y taste to them in some way. Previous to the launch I'd heard some commentators saying that Microsoft were attempting to make 7 seem like Mac osX in..."

"I was going to share what I was going to do next; but I just did it instead: I made my blog logo look more professional and also updated my Twitter photo to the one above. I need to get all my social network and other profile pics as the one above to maintain brand continuity and aid people to identify the brand."

"Your comment wasn't edited by a moderator: I was trying to edit my reply rather than your post. - This Disqus comment system still has bugs."

"Hey Patty. Thanks for your comment. Hopefully your motherboard is Vista/Windows7 compatible: That's the main bit. The blog design is happening. I need to get or write the right script to run on the Welcome page. I'm still looking around for something suitable. All the very best to you. x"

"Your comment wasn't edited at all Patty: I tried to edit my reply and ended up making it look like your original comment had been edited. I'm still getting used to this Disqus comment thingy."

"If you need more than a single drive but have only a single hard-disc, you can partition the drive into 2 or more separate partitions; which the OS will see as 2 or more hard-drives. I was playing about with the Disk management in Windows 7 yesterday; and I shrank a drive and created a new partition on the resultant unallocated space. It's a very useful tool that Microsoft have incorporated into this operating system."

"You might even get it published if I like it. :) - The question is; will it get to No.1 and stay there for 3 months? If so, you might win £50UKP! See http://kkomp.com/archives/7286 and get writing folks: Every post submitted is in with a chance!"

"The same thing happened to me when I started using Disqus again: Several comments that I'd never seen before, a couple from months ago, appeared. It seems that the WordPress GUI isn't that good at handling comments?"

"There's going to be an uprising in China soon: It's inevitable if they carry on behaving like this and trying to keep their people ignorant. - They're bloody stupid to do so too: It'll only bite them in the ass in the end."

"I much prefer Windows myself. - But now I am a server admin with a Ubuntu server I have no choice but to learn Linux. I'd rather have a Windows server; but WordPress runs much better on Linux IMO. I apologise for the delay in approving this comment: Ive recently started using the Disqus comment system again, and it doesn't notify me of a new comment in the same way, so I'm still acclimatising to it. :)"

"To be perfectly honest, the major factor that started me blogging was you, David, encouraging me to do so. (It's your fault. lol :) ) - Which was one of the best things anyone's ever done for me: As soon as I knew what I was doing, having found my feet as it were, I wondered why I hadn't started blogging a lot sooner. By becoming a blogger I have blossomed more as a person; and I feel that I now can contribute more towards society in general, if people are willing to listen. Quite obviously I'm just one voice among billions; but now I can share my knowledge, my ideas, the essence of me, (Perhaps I should market that as a perfume?) with anyone who wants to listen. - I'm another tech-blogger, a geekette: I think, talk, eat, sleep, and breathe tech... Well not quite to that extent, but yes I do love tech. In the days before the internet I so wanted to be published; but getting published then was as easy as alchemy: Conversely, now it's as easy as typing. Did I want to be an internet..."

"How ironic that a Linux blogging app should be called Drivel: The dictionary definnition of drivel is: - v. driv·eled or driv·elled, driv·el·ing or driv·el·ling, driv·els v.intr. 1. To slobber; drool. 2. To flow like spittle or saliva. 3. To talk stupidly or childishly. v.tr. 1. To allow to flow from the mouth. 2. To say (something) stupidly. n. 1. Saliva flowing from the mouth. 2. Stupid or senseless talk. ( http://www.thefreedictionary.com/drivel ) Make of that what you will. :)"

"As a Witch I agree to a certain extent; although I am a proponent of the idea that what is imagined eventually becomes reality with time and a lot of positive thought power; either as a group or as an individual. Whilst practical and physical effort, ie getting up off one's ass and doing something to further the situation on a positive note, are definitely a huge part of the key; there is also the fact that one's mental and emotional negativity can work directly against one's positive physical efforts and nullify their results, at least to some extent. - Therefore I would say that a tremendous amount of willower, coupled with self-beleif and also positive action, will get an individual a lot further forward towards acheiving their goals than simply practical physical application and effort alone. You yourself David have a tremendous amount of self-belief and positive attitude, in addition to positive application of technique, strategy, and other practical traits: As a result you are a..."

"On the technical side; if you really mean business and want to gradually expand your blog, get a decent server. Shared-platform hosting (Where you're sharing a server with others.) is OK to start with, and if it's just a tiny blog, or a set of sales pages etc on its own separate domain, then that may suffice in that instance. However, if you're planning to have thousands of posts and pages, added to over time, on a large blog that keeps growing, then a dedicated server is really the only option in the long run. Some, maybe all, web-hosts can get arsey about a partciular domain hogging resources on a shared-platform server, and may even take draconian punitive action again such offenders. The more plugins you run in WordPress, the more server resources are used up. Similarly a vast number of hypertext links, while maybe helpful as far as SEO ratings go, can utilise resources also, causing in some instances slow page-load times. Whilst certain WordPress plugins can be added to combat..."

"...Oh and do your readers a favour: Get rid of that awful plugin that blanks out the page and shows the opt-in form: It's vile, it seems impossible to remove or cancel, and it also stops people from copying the list or reading the post."
